I include the Quality in my book about a Black Lawyer "Jackson O'Day" and his adventures in Toledo. The Quality fits the perfect concept of as our parents would call it a real "juke Joint". Seedy atmosphere, dim lights and very strong drinks. I went in with my lead character in mind and I was not disappointed. It was late afternoon when I entered so I didn't have the parking problem. The staff was very friendly and made no pretense that this bar was exactly what it appeared to be. Tough part of town with an equally tough little dive. Yes, you should watch your back when you enter, but they still have a million dollar music box. Everyone should encounter a "Quality Bar" in their life, but do not do it alone, but with friends.

I promise you this. Your money will be well spent. The Quality drinks are only second to Shafees and he is all the way in New Jersey. The Quality isn't the largest bar in the city but it definitely has the most heart and soul. I love bars that are true representation of the city and the Quality is just that. a

Rude staff. We came there from Columbus and it was our 1st time here and since one of us wasnt 30 they shut the door on our faces and didnt let any of us in. This was very disrespectful.
