Went here to get some good Mexican food. The experience was terrible. The food was absolutely disgusting. Mind you I am full Mexican So I’ve grown up eating lots of delicious Mexican food. I ordered enchiladas and the tortilla was hard. I told them to put queso cheese on top. They put shredded. The rice had no flavor and the beans was watered down. Please do not go here. Their food is trash when I asked them if they could do anything all the response was sorry no sorry don’t cut it when you sell nasty food to people like this and you’re overcharging. Please don’t come here there are way better options in Toledo!!

This is our favorite place for food whenever we find ourselves in Toledo! Authentic Mexican food is hard to come by in Cleveland, so it’s such a treat to eat at Taqueria El Gallo de Oro. The food is excellent 😋 We usually get the Torta, or the Birria Tacos, or soup. It’s all so good! But the spicy chamoy fruits really is the topper 🤤 UFFF it’s so good!!

First time coming and we were very happy with the food, birria tacos were good, and my carne asada tacos were awesome! They have a nice size menu, have to go back and try something new.

A wonderful and authentic Taqueria. The food was delicious, hot, quick, and inexpensive. I had the Al Pastor store and they were delicious. Also tried the Birria taco and it was fantastic. The people working there were efficient and handled business! They know what’s up.

Ordered delivery from Uber Eats and was super impressed with the food. Ordered Al Pastor, Spicy Pork and Birria tacos and all were excellent. Will definitely eat here again!
I've passed by this place a few times and finally decided to stop in, I'm really glad i did! The service was great - everyone was so nice, and the food was delish! The place is small, but it was cute inside. I would definitely consider this a little hidden gem - it's tucked into a plaza, and worth the effort to try and get to during the lunch hour traffic on Secor. I got the Watermelon Aguas Fresca, which is basically freshly blended watermelon and water, which was really refreshing and not too sweet! We got an appetizer of Elote Fiesta, which is spicy potato chips smothered in corn, cream, a couple kinds of cheese, and lime. The other dishes we ordered are the traditional tacos (carne asada/steak), Birria Tacos, and Asada Fries. Everyone at the table was really happy with their orders, and I'll absolutely be coming back! The server also informed me that the refried beans are in fact vegetarian, in case anyone is looking for that info 😜
