This place is wonderful for a fancy dinner when you want to splurge a bit! The prices are high, but they match the quality of the food! Staff are professional and the atmosphere is romantic.

This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Our server, Liz, was amazing! The ambiance, the live piano, the food. This was mine and my husbands first time and there will be no place that lives up to this! I cannot rave about it enough. I am beyond impressed. We will be back!

Terrible service, my husband’s steak was all fat. It was hyped by a good friend of ours and even she apologized for the service we received. Very disappointing to spend $80 on a steak and not even be able to eat 90% of it. And to top it off our server was an absolute jerk.

This is the place that has it all! The ambiance and beauty of a chic and elegant restaurant along the beautiful Maumee river next to Promenade park. My waiter, Rob was nothing short of superb and attended to every detail with perfection and the utmost politeness. The food was incredibly delicious and well portioned.Whether you’re dining for business or pleasure,The Chop House is an excellent fine dining establishment in the heart of downtown Toledo!

The place is very beautiful & nice inside, so it was very surprising at the sub-par dirty restrooms, definitely not what you'd expect at a high-end restaurant as this. If you don't like valet parking, good luck finding some seriously. The service was wonderful. I personally had the salmon, and it was delicious, a little salty, but not so bad you couldn't eat it. The house salad was my favorite part of the entire meal . I'd rather just have that as an entrée. The calamari was delicious! My husband did love his steak, so their beef is worth the hype. The mini muffin style rolls were good in my opinion i hope you don't want more than one, each guest only gets one and for the price of a glass of wine, you'd at least think they fill up your glass halfway. We were a table of 10 and only the 3 people who order chicken were sick the next couple days and one of the ladies that took their leftovers home gave to her husband not knowing she was to be sick he also ended up sick so it had to be the chicken. They do have an exquisite whiskey selection & lovely views of downtown, but the price of everything didn't measure up to the experience.

We were able to make a reservation on the same day. We arrived and the hostess took our coat and hang themfor us. Nice touch. Also piano player during dinner is nice.We arrived for our reservation and saw that happy hour was going on, however you could not order at the table to get the happy hour drink prices, which we found it rude. Happy hour should apply to the wholeestablishment. Seems pretty petty considering they are making 80% profit on their drinks. We might have been inclined to order a cocktail prior to our dinner wine. But we didn’t.The food was very good, we enjoyed the mushrooms, tenderloin tips and calamari to start.Salads were large and their sides are shareable too.We all enjoyed scallops, steak, salmon and crab cakes.Prices a bit high for the Toledo area.Vegetarian options: Popovers were vegan and gluten free.Asparagus, salads.

Dined here for a special birthday celebration. Food was mediocre at best. Never received the bread everyone rants and raves about. All the sides came out at room temperature. The expense was not worth the food quality at all . I do not understand the hype of this place at all. One and done for us!! Extremely over rated.I gave it a two star because the only good thing about this place was that our server was top notch!!
