I love this place so much!! Wonderful view and the bartenders are usually pretty nice too.
The place was our go-to for a drink to show Toledo to guests from out of town. But this last visit was eye opening. The place is tired and dirty. Parking was outrageous. We'll look for a new go-to going forward.
Amazing food and vibes. Definitely recommend to anyone who has not been here before and is visiting Toledo even for a short amount of time.
Setup outdoor patio reservation in advance and the night started with them telling us they did not have our table available. When we did sit, waited 20 minutes for service while staff sat rolling silverware on a friday night and had to go get the manager who had walked past our table twice and saw that we did not have drinks, silverware, napkins, water. AFTER I went and got the manager and asked if someone was going to greet us or take our drink order he said I could order it at the bar or wait for the waitress that he would send right over. 10 minutes later she came by. We ordered an appetizer, once we had pretty much finished it our waitress walked up with dishes and silverware and said oh oops sorry about that because some other waiter brought the app over not ours, while she was drinking a cup behind the expedition line and then never checked on us and the waiter who brought our food didnt say a word dropped the dish and left. Such bad service, the one app we did eat before getting our check and leaving even though we planned to spend time and money there, was overpriced for what it was. Avoid this place other then to go and take a quick selfie at.
Nice ambience. Great setting. Service was awful and food was very average. Did not get some of what we ordered. Half the food came out 30 minutes before the other half. I had to chase the staff to get it. When it came it was luke warm. I got the manager involved and she really seemed to care, but the rest of the staff treated customers as a nuisance.
Had a horrible experience with a waitress Marla that falsified our receipt, adding on a large tip. Filing with our credit card company and determining whether or not we file a fraudulent police report. Will never go back.
This was our first visit to The Heights, and it will definitely not be our last. A colleague recommended it to me for my Toledo "date day" with my wife, and since we love pizza, we were excited to try it. We didn't realize it was located inside the Renaissance Hotel, but that turned out to be a great surprise. It made us start thinking about coming back for a full weekend in the city. The atmosphere was inviting, the view from our table was incredible, and the whole space had a great energy. We had just finished a tour of the National Museum of the Great Lakes, and we could actually see it from where we sat. Our server, Ashley H., was funny, friendly, and really made the experience even better. The drinks were excellent, the lamb meatballs were delicious, and the pizza was truly outstanding. The only small downside was that our table was a little sticky, but that was easy to overlook considering how great everything else was. We're already looking forward to our next visit and will definitely be recommending The Heights to others.
We ordered the smash burger and beef egg rolls. The Burger was good, but when my wife asked if she could add pickles to the burger the waitress mentioned that they have pickles in one area where pizza is made but not in the kitchen where the burger is made. The egg rolls were good but for $15+ dollars it was not really worth the price for what you got. Overall the atmosphere was great but it was a pretty average dining experience.
It took 25 minutes before we recieved our first drink. The section we in was not busy whatsoever. In fact the entire restaurant was not busy for a Saturday night. Has potential for a great view but it was raining.
The food was good. View was nice as always. There weren't many people there considering it was a Saturday night so the noise level was moderated. Not very happy with the bar. To begin with, they were out of Titos. We asked for cosmos. They were undrinkable. We think they may have been made with gin and way over limed. Our waitress did return them to the bar and had them remade by another bartender. We were not charged for these. The 2nd ones were much better but still not a very good drink. Ordered a third. Worse than the 2nd but better than the 1st. One person in our party ordered 2 different drinks and they were also not good. Tried to find the manager after but she was not around. Waited for little bit but decided to go. They do have a nice selection of liquor and beer. I would avoid the mixed drinks.

These people don't know how to handle a full restaurant. Even having a reservation doesn't sit you before the people who arrive after with no reservations. The Host girl was a HOT MESS!!
Had to wait for a table even though we had a reservation and it was far from busy. Four drinks from the bar took over 20 minutes with three bar tenders. Server indicated they had to look up recipes... odd because everything we ordered except for Captain and pineapple was on their drink menu and two were the same drink. Food was good even though menu is very limited, server did a great job. Definitely a place you only go for the view.
We had a great time. This is why we choose the heights for some holidays/ special occasions, never disappoints.
Came for the rooftop views—and they did deliver. Stunning skyline, great atmosphere, perfect for photos or a sunset drink. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the setting. Bland flavors and overpriced for the quality. Worth a visit for the ambiance, but eat elsewhere first.
Great experience with nice views of the city and Lake Erie. Especially nice on sunny days.
