Came for the New Year's Eve event. Poorly planned, food was all cold and minimal variety of options. For $50 a person you hope for at least something to be good, wouldn't recommend.

The food was good but when we waited 30 minutes in line for the buffet everything was gone except the ribeye and scraps on the rest. Less than a spoon of potatoes. No pork. Some carrots, and most things were empty. It was definitely busy so I don't blame any of the staff but we also waited for food to come out and it did not. Crazy night and I get it but we did not get much food.

Food was wonderful, staff was great. We had a fabulous New Year's Eve there. But definitely do it again next year.

Good food and nice place. Only thing that was a little disappointing was they ran out of food early. So the people we were with didn't get to eat.

Food was fine, however prime rib and sides were not pipping hot. Not enough seats for all of the patrons for New Years. This seemed to be a common complaint I heard from others that attended the New Yeare Eve dinner. I was led to believe the time frame for ticket was for a table, and instead was for entry. Very poor set up and system.

The Standard is truly one of Toledo’s standout dining experiences. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels elevated yet welcoming—stylish without being pretentious. It’s the kind of place that feels just as right for a special night out as it does for a relaxed, upscale dinner. The cocktail program is creative and exceptionally well executed. Each drink is thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and memorable—easily some of the best cocktails in the city. The food menu is just as impressive, offering beautifully prepared dishes with bold flavors and attention to detail that reflect real culinary skill. What truly sets The Standard apart, though, is the consistency. We’ve dined there multiple times, and each visit has been excellent. The service is attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, enhancing the entire experience without ever feeling intrusive. The Standard continues to raise the bar for high-end dining in Toledo. Exceptional food, inventive cocktails, outstanding service, and a wonderful atmosphere make it a place we’re always excited to return to—and one we confidently recommend.

Initially okay, empty but fine, steak came out overcooked to the point where it was inedible and if that wasn't enough, we had a DJ set up strobe lights directly in front of us, mind you the place was empty, it was an intimate date night for us, which they knew from the reservation details, they proceeded to blare music and leave. Would go negative stars if possible which is a shame because years ago the heights was incredible. Needs a revamp as the venue is too good to be this bad on a Friday night.

Great experience for me and the family. He ordered multiple apps and shared. All were great.

Always enjoy frequenting this very nice restaurant/bar when I am in town. The thanksgiving buffet was quite good- only ding is that the rolls and cranberry sauce were not available at the start. C'mon, man! You gotta have them on Thanksgiving. Pleasantly surprised by the salmon- not a traditional offering but one of my favorite dishes so I ain't complaining. Overall, great time.

1. The food at the buffet was lukewarm to cold, but mainly cold. A majority of it. 2. We were there for brunch. But also noted turkey legs, which looked like someone had picked through the meat from the bones. Nasty looking. There we no separate juices to drink, as most brunch buffets usually have, just coffee or hot water. Overall food was not worth it at all. 3. There were very few small signs on the buffet tables to tell which catering container contained which food, without having to open each, lid. Another example was the bagel table. 3 types of cream cheese, NONE of them were labeled. One of our guests is allergic to almonds, and her salad contained almonds. THER SHOULD HAVE BEEN A NUT ALLERGY WARNING SIGN AT THE SLALDS. 4. When we arrived, the hostess was the nicest person that we talked to that morning. Our server was nice but did not speak loud enough to hear over the background noises. Some of the staff acted like they did not want to be there. 5. All three of us in attendance believed that the cost of the meals was NOT WORTH IT. 6. 2 of the 3 of us used the restrooms. FILTHY. The men's room had backed up wastewater in the sunk. Women's restroom was just plain dirty. 7. At the main food buffet table, food spilled onto the floor in front of it - one of us had to tell someone that it needed cleaned up. One of us almost slipped on it. 8. The waitress did not clean the table off of plates as we finished them, which is usually what is done at buffets. 9. For this restaurant to be of this caliber in Toledo, Ohio, and 2 of us from Toledo, and 1 guest from the City of Chicago, this was not a 100% great experience. 10. The above items are a good example of what we experienced. We don't like to mince words when someone asks about The Heights Thanksgiving Buffet. Terrible and costly. I truly hope someone from upper management at the hotel / restaurant has an opportunity to read this! We won't return.

We made a reservation for Thanksgiving brunch. When booking the reservation through open table, there was an option to select the Thanksgiving buffet or ordering from the main menu. Our family has several food allergies to navigate and that can be challenging with a buffet so I chose the main menu option. Our party each traveled about 2 hours to meet (coming from Michigan and Indiana) for our brunch and when we were seated we learned that there was no option for the main menu, buffet only, and there was an error in the open table reservation option. The staff was so incredibly kind and helpful with working out options for us, reviewing ingredients etc. It really saved the morning since we were all in from two different states and only had that brunch together for this particular holiday! Food was great, service was so far above and beyond, I've literally never had better care and service before and we travel and explore restaurants a lot!! I absolutely recommend checking them out! Even the manager of Brim House in the same building jumped in to help in a jam so highly recommend their service too!! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved!!!!!

Really cool spot for drinks and bites. Unfortunately service felt barely there but it was fine. And rolling tables with wheels were annoying.

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and it was truly incredible!!! First, we got an anniversary card from the staff (so sweet!). Jeffrey, our server, was attentive, kind and had great recommendations. You can tell he loves his job! The other staff were just as attentive, as if they were our server. The drinks were delicious. The carpaccio was amazing. We had the lamb chops and the sea bass. Lamb chops were divine and the sea bass………just wow!! I don’t think I’ve had such a perfect dish. Nothing I would change about it. You won’t find a better dish in Toledo. I’ll be dreaming of it till next time!! What a great first experience. You found some regular customers! ☺️

I had heard great things about the Standard from many people. Made a reservation for last Friday and was amazed at the decor, the atmosphere, and the general vibe. The food was exceptional, the cocktails were amazing, and our waiter Kevin was one of the best I’ve ever had in my many many years of restaurant visits. I strongly recommend you give it a try!

Opentable Diner

The menu was mostly Woodford pizza, it wasn't clear based on the setting that is what the restaurant was. I ordered a pizza specifically for the prosciutto and it was left off my pizza. We were sat at a table with zero plates, menus or silverware and had to wait quite a bit for our less then enthusiastic server who between her few visits to our table and others was eating fries out of the food service window. They could use a lesson in proper service, customer care and dining options.
