Amazing food and wonderful service! We will be back many times!

My husband and I have eaten here many times now! The wait staff aims to please! The food is phenomenal! We have never been disappointed and feel like we never will. The cocktails are sublime, while their wine list is perfect. So far our favorite is the sea bass dish (everything is good but if we had to pick our number one… sea bass). Will forever go to the standard as long as they stand!

A Toledo Treasure! The Standard has quickly become our go-to spot for any and all family celebrations! The food is absolutely delicious, with vibrant flavors and beautifully crafted dishes. The ambience strikes the perfect balance of upscale yet casual, making it ideal for any occasion. Most importantly, the staff make every visit special with their genuine hospitality. Their passion truly elevates the experience. The Standard is a fantastic addition to the Toledo restaurant scene, and I can't recommend it enough!

We enjoyed our first experience here tonight, Valentine’s Day. The roses on the table were a great touch. Jake was a personable server with knowledge and a great attitude. The food was all amazing, beautifully plated and quick.

My pork chop was salty and barely warm. Did not complain because my son chose the restaurant to treat me. Hard to hear waitress over background music. Also salt & pepper shakers were difficult to identify. They need to be clearly marked. My dining companions had the strip steak & chicken. Both commented their meals were good.

First time visit and we were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, very well run, the bartenders and servers were outstanding and our meal was fantastic. We'll be back many times!!

James was absolutely incredible, you can tell he loves what he does. The food was phenomenal. I made a reservation and added some notes and to know they read them and took them seriously was very very sweet, I loved that! Seriously the best service and the best food I’ve had in a long time. Definitely would recommend to everyone!!

I was visiting Toledo for the weekend, and I went to the Standard on a Friday night with friends and was completely blown away.
The atmosphere was so welcoming. And customer service is top-notch. The staff knew all the menu items and were well versed in making suggestions.
Everything is made from scratch and chef's kiss to everything we tried.
We had Megan's Chicken, which came with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts, spaghetti, which was served with 3 large meatballs and lambchops that were served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. We also got to try the crabcake. My friends mom also had the onion soup, which was amazing. We all tried each other's food.
The chicken was moist and delicious, the potatoes were creamy and a joy to the tongue. The lambchops were perfection, and the crabcake was more crab than cake! All the flavors were complimentary, and no additional sauces or seasonings were necessary. I was in heaven.
We all had cocktails, and they were delicious as well. Espresso martini, layover, and something with egg whites (it was delicious too)
Bethany, our server, was so knowledgeable and sweet, she met all of our needs efficiently, going above and beyond, and our table was never out of anything.
Jeff also came by and made some meal suggestions, made sure we had what we needed, and was very friendly.
The food was plated so beautifully, and everything was perfect.
I absolutely recommend all the dishes and this place for an amazing dinner and night out.

My husband and I went for our anniversary and were treated like royalty. They did a complimentary champagne toast, and the waiter was knowledgeable on the wine and provided recommendations. We had the fried feta cheese and mussels for appetizers. Both were amazing. For entrees I had the filet with blue cheese sauce and my husband has the short rib. Both amazing. We truly can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend it to anyone. A true fine dining experience that I never knew could exist in Toledo!

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place since it opened, being longtime fans of Benchmark. We came to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint! I made a reservation which I would recommend due to the somewhat small space. We were given an anniversary card signed by the staff, how special! Our server, Kelci, was super kind and friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. She offered a champagne toast but being that I don't drink she offered to buy us dessert instead. For drinks I asked for a smoky mocktail, the bartenders made me a twist on a dirty smoked gin martini with alcohol-free spirits, it was delicious! We started with the garlic bread with bleu cheese sauce, out-of-this-world. For my entrée I chose the braised short rib with polenta, perfectly tender, flavorful, but not overly seasoned. We were then treated to sticky toffee pudding for dessert on the house, a bit burnt on the bottom but overall a great treat! Being a LGBTQ+ couple, it brings us joy when an establishment goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and celebrated, and I truly felt special. Bravo!

I need to start with: Best restaurant in Northwest Ohio. From the moment we walked in, I felt like I was fine dining in a big city. The greeting, the atmosphere, and the service all outstanding.
We ordered our drinks and everything was well made and quickly served even with a full Saturday evening crowd. For an appetizer we got the fried pickles, the feta, and the bread with steak. Every single item was amazing, well thought out down the every ingredient, and nicely portioned. The owner even came out and greeted us and thanked us for coming, extremely nice guy.
When our meals came, it was evident the restaurant knows what they are doing. MY GOSH. Amazing steak, the best in the area, and only 50 dollars for a 16 oz ribeye, with great quality. Will be back, over and over and it doesn’t even break the bank.
Our dinner club gave it our highest rating ever at 9.33 for food

Great food and service! My husband and I dined here and our waiter was James he was great and made the experience even better! Highly recommend the ribeye with the black pepper crust , fried pickles and the crème brûlée! So so good!!
