Toast and Tap Restaurant and Lounge

Definitely a nice cool downtown Toledo vibe. Food was fantastic for brunch, chicken and waffles side of potatoes, phenomenal. Presentation was on point. Staff was exceptional, they are on top of it! I highly recommend and will definitely return for another great experience. Keep up the great work “Toast & Tap.”

I had looked forward to supporting this restaurant due to its great reputation for quality food, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend it based on what I’ve learned. A close family member worked as a chef here and was not compensated for their work. This is deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the business’s ethics. I hope the management will take responsibility for this matter and treat their staff fairly in the future.

I found this unique building downtown by accident while here for business. The aromas from the street brought me in. I’m was greeted by Jordan (great personality). I tried the Turkey club. Thick cut juicy n tender. I enjoyed every bite. I will be back because the lamb chops that came out next to me looked and smelled fantastic!

The lamb chops weren't cooked,How I prefer them medium well, they did have a lot of fat on them, also the waiter wasn't on point.

I stopped in Tap & Toast about 9:15 pm on Friday night. The atmosphere was so welcoming. The food was outstanding. I ordered the crab cakes appetizer and fish & chips entree. The crab cakes were on the level of crab cakes I have found in Boston. Their Cajun sauce was delicious ! I ordered an extra side of it. The Fish & chips was amazing!!! The fish had a kick to it! It was so tasty !!! My cocktail was an expression martini, which was awesome, I recommend this new spot to everyone !!! I will be back to try the lamb chops next. Thank you, Tap & Toast !!!

We arrived to the place a carryout order, greeted, went to bar to place order and had a question about the cha cha slaw and the waitress told us it's like regular slaw with a mayo base which is was not, its more like a bang bang sauce. I ordered the shrimp and wedges which were very good, but the menu says it comes with house tartar sauce, which I did not get. My friend ordered the tacos, the steak was overcooked, but the shrimp and cauliflower taco are very good. We will try this place again if it stays open.

My wife and I were wandering around downtown and saw the building. We thought it looked really cool so we wanted to check it out. Food was pretty good and well priced we thought. We felt very welcomed, sure service was a tad on the relaxed side but it's a new business just getting into the feel of things. We are excited to come back and check out the live Jazz and music on weekends.
