Worst place ever the managers are rudest woman I’ve ever met. She looked like she was going to have a complete yelling attack on customers told me she didn’t give a shit if I like the food or not, and she was so loud everybody in the store heard her not cool. She needs to get a different job where she don’t be around people.
Good and consistent.

I have not had Penn Station in a long time, and this location is a good reminder as to why I don't eat here, the one in Troy, Ohio anyway.
First, walked in and the manager wasn't even in uniform, a skimpy tank top. Unacceptable as a manager in my opinion. The young lady who was working as well, acted as is if she was not happy with her job, or perhaps the manager. I can understand why if it's the 2nd reason. So I ordered a small Philly Cheesesteak with light onion. Took over 15 minutes to get it. When I looked at it, the sandwich wasn't very appealing or appetizing to look at. It was mostly bread. I asked why so little meat to the manager, and she said they use 3 oz of meat and asked if I got veggies on it, I said light onion and I was told that if you get veggies, the ounces of meat decreases. I said if I wanted all bread, I would have gone to a bakery. I asked for my money back, which she did, so I'll giver her that. I will not be giving this location any of my business again. I know I'm one person and my measly small sandwich may not make an impact, but the customer service and food quality stinks!

Worst service I think I've ever had.. We ordered a Philly Cheese Steak Sub and fries.. Our fries were burnt and they put mustard on our Philly and when we brought it to their attention. They said that's what we odered and refused to make it right. We left hungry, after they threw our food in the trash. Allison the manager made a huge scene.
NEVER AGAIN.......

Had to wait 30 minutes for my food (2 subs and one fry)there was only one Person ahead of me waiting who had already been waiting. I had a to go order. Should have checked it before I left. Neither sandwich was what I ordered even though they taped a ticket to each sandwich that was correct. The french fries had been made so far ahead of time they were cold and floppy. Will not go to this location again, wasted my money

I work for a nursing home and we have a carry ins for the residents and it can be tedious having to write the names on the orders but they handled it with ease! None of our food was missing or wrong! We will be ordering again! Thank you so much!!!!
The manager, who said her name was Alicean, is awful! She's loud, rude, and lazy. Won't spend my money there again.
Dined in at Troy OH location on 5/27/2025 around noon. Sandwiches came out and told the two orders of fries would be right out. Fifteen minutes later, sandwiches finished and still no fries. Manager seemed baffled why I wanted a refund but did oblige. Never got an apology. The fries in the cooker basket were all burned up small pieces anyhow, probably stone cold. Won't be coming back to this location. There are other Penn Station locations in the area that care about customers.
One of the better Penn Stations I've been to, food was spot on and store was clean and music wasn't blaring like other stores.

TL;DR
They tried twice and succeeded once at shorting my order. No one involved cared, offered an apology or sympathized with the situation.
Long version
This usually this is a good place to easily pick up online orders. I go once a month or so. Tonight it was horrible. Arrived at pick up time, and woman at register/pick up said it wasn't ready yet. No big deal. Proceeded to wait. 10min go by. I am clearly visible to everyone behind the counter, trying stay out of the way of other customers checking out but still at the pick up point. Orders are being called out for pick up and dine in. After 20min the woman who told me it wasn't ready is nowhere to be found. I ask a gentleman behind counter telling him it's been 20min he hands me a bag and acts like he doesn't want to be there and can't be bothered. I tell him I need a 1/2 gal of lemonade also and he hands me the bottle that was sitting next to the bag he handed me. Again he could care less. I get home and the cookie I ordered wasn't in the bag. Call the location, try to explain the whole situation and how frustrating and unlike them this situation is. No apology or sympathy, just that they can take the cookie off the bill, and refund it in 3-5 business days. Maybe I was just lucky the previous times I went there? Maybe service has gone down? I don't know what is going on, but I'm not sure I'll be going back to this location.
Not sure if the cook knows what he’s doing. Sandwich was dry. Tasted like a greasy burnt grill. Fries were great. Surface at the counter was a little bit blonde rude. Kind of like what do you want? I hate my job. Don’t wanna be here. Environment not very clean. Should’ve known better. Not many cars parked outside with people crammed. Waiting to get inside advice just don’t. Chick-fil-A is right down the street through my food out went there instead.
Five-Star Experience at Penn Station – Troy, Ohio
We recently visited the Penn Station East Coast Subs location in Troy, Ohio, and we couldn't have been more impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and prompt, friendly service. It's clear this location takes pride in both their food and customer experience.
We ordered the classic cheesesteak, fresh-cut fries, and an ice-cold Mountain Dew, and every item exceeded expectations.
The cheesesteak was phenomenal—perfectly grilled steak, smothered in melted provolone, and nestled in fresh, warm bread that was lightly toasted to perfection. The balance of flavors was spot-on, and the portion size was generous. Every bite was hot, juicy, and incredibly satisfying.
The fries were equally impressive. Hand-cut and made fresh to order, they were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and lightly salted—exactly how fries should be. You can tell they take the time to do them right, which makes all the difference.
As for the Mountain Dew, it was the cherry on top. Served ice-cold with the perfect carbonation, it paired great with the meal and rounded out the experience.
What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The team behind the counter was friendly, efficient, and genuinely seemed to care about making our visit a good one. They checked in on us, kept the dining area clean, and handled a steady lunch rush with professionalism and speed.
We’ll definitely be returning soon. If you're in the Troy area and craving a great cheesesteak with unbeatable service, Penn Station is the place to go.
The bread on the subs Was soggy . If I could leave zero stars I would.
