You'd think if you saw someone standing and waiting to order you'd go take their order but I guess it's not really time for work. I get I wouldn't talk to customers either, but I was pretty hungry and I would've bought a sandwich if I was spoken to. It wasn't busy either. I was just straight up ignored.

They raised their prices by almost 50%!!! If you see on their website the price is about $14 for a sandwich, we'll it's $20 now, crazy!

$20 for a small sandwich with no side dish.
Overpriced and the food is very salty.
Very little meat in the sandwich.
The matzah ball soup is very salty too.
Compared to Slimans or Jacks, it is not in the same league.
I would not recommend this place.

I was looking forward to the Lincoln Park sandwich because in the past it's been very good. This time it had shrunk in size and part of it was inedible...so overcooked that it was hard and dried out. There was about a teaspoon full of coleslaw on it and very little sauce. Quite a disappointment. They are always out of brisket at dinner time. Definitely won't return!

I have been eating here since they opened and generally love it but want to comment that I feel the quality has fallen off recently. They are consistently out of items, even at off peak hours. More concerning is the quality and quantity of meat on the sandwich (Rueben or turkey) is WAY down. It used to be a hearty serving and now it’s barely two slices that are cold. I keep going because the ingredients are good but I think it’s fallen way off since opening.

Always out of brisket. Used to love it but sick of coming here for a Boro breakfast sandwich only to find out they’re out AGAIN. How hard can it be to consistently serve what is on your menu?!?

This has to be one of the saddest downfalls of a restaurant we’ve seen. Before they moved into the Van Aken Market, the staff at Lox, Stock, and Brisket was friendly and enthusiastic about serving absolutely delicious sandwiches. Our experiences since they moved into Van Aken have been strange, frustrating and saddening. We’ve been back 4-5 times now and each experience has been disappointing. We’ve been told they aren’t taking orders because ticket times are ten minutes for 2 breakfast sandwiches at 8:30am on Saturday. On every occasion we’ve been unable to get the items we came for because it’s out of stock. Today we were unable to get the items we wanted, then waited 40min to get our second choice which were their lox bagels.Saddest of all, and most consistently, the staff seems annoyed to be taking our order and bothered to be there at all. We are met with an indignant attitude and slow service on every occasion. It’s so heartbreaking to know how happy and enthusiastic the staff used to be before moving into Van Aken.It seems like management isn’t supporting their employees. Perhaps a lack of training or systems is to blame. Well trained employees, who have good systems to follow and strong leadership to support them are happy employees. More likely, I think, the problem is with ownership. As he can be seen responding to negative google reviews with a rude and dismissive attitude. We’ve tried and tried with this formerly amazing sandwich shop. Today was our last attempt, but we will not be returning to Lox, Stock, and Brisket for a long time. Hopefully ownership can figure this out. Why would we want to go to a place that doesn’t seem to want to serve us?

The sandwiches here used to be the best. They have become way too fatty since Corky's closed. All employees have obviously been told to tell clients that this is how it is going to be. Good things never last. Good luck trying to find the administration of this place if you want satisfaction.
