It's a great place to get fantastic diner style food. It's the real deal, not a bunch of canned/frozen/pre-cooked stuff. Their fried pickles are fantastic. Most places don't get them right but Angle Back does. They have friendly servers and a comfortable atmosphere as well. It's not a stuffy restaurant with cloth napkins but the food here is probably better.
You know what? Food and service and were absolutely five stars, no matter what. I'd fight anyone who says the reuben at Angle Back isn't one of the best ones around. Not only is it HUGE, it's *full* of flavor!There's something magical that happens when you grill marbled rye and stuff it with dressing, cheese, sauerkraut, and corned beef, and the whole thing weighs in at a pound. It's a awesome little place. Nice pool table! I brought home two subs my wife got a pizza sub that comes with 4 toppings and I got the Italian sub. The wife and I loved them. They weren't skimpy on the meat it's packed full! Can't wait to go back for pool and food.
