“First time back in the Boxcar in 11 years. Wanted a green beer for St Patty's Day, and they came through with some. Fair prices for drafts as well. $2.25 for 16oz, and $2.50 for 22oz. Go with the 22oz, comes in a ice cold tall mug. This place has changed so much over the years. I remember going in when you had to use the short stick to shoot pool. Great crowd, friendly and fun people.“
“Dec. 2023Just ok. Hate the chairs they snag your clothes. Don't care for the sidewinders (their take on fries.) Burgers are good. Mac n cheese with chicken bites was good. The salads as a meal are huge and very good.Service was good.Parking: Street parking only which is shared with 3 soon to be 4 other restaurants. Good luck getting anything close to the door.“
“It used to be a happening place, standing room only, but the owner has let the place go. A couple of pool tables and electric dartboard machines, and if the place gets more than a dozen people, they might turn on the main dance floor music instead of the jukebox. What a shame. The place has so much potential.“
“Little bar off the highway in the middle of nowhere. Great space, helpful staff and great drink options. Awesome dart boards, good table and board game options even. But let's get to the main event. The food. I've eaten several items here and not a single one has disappointed. The corn dogs and cheeze curds are fantastic. I've never had the sweet corn bites before here and they were very delightful. Their loaded tots are TREMENDOUS and the burgers. Holy cow. Literally. Im getting the western next time I'm in, and there will definitely be a next time. Excellent local spot and the owner is in from time to time, stop in and say hello!“
“So sat down, got drink order pretty quickly, put food order in for the lunch special. Watch 3 other tables get sat AFTER us. Then watch those tables get food before we got anything. That's after waiting almost 30min, so by then lunch wasted and didn't even get to eat. Not pleased, not likely to return.“
“It's a awesome little place. Nice pool table! I brought home two subs my wife got a pizza sub that comes with 4 toppings and I got the Italian sub. The wife and I loved them. They weren't skimpy on the meat it's packed full! Can't wait to go back for pool and food.“
