Their sausage gravy is made with mystery meat. I have used Bob Evans sausage at home to make gravy, and there is no comparison. The hash browns taste as though they use old cooking oil that sets in a bottle by the grill. The staff is friendly and professional, but there never seems to be enough staff there. The restaurant would perhaps benefit from paying employees a higher wage to prevent constant turnover.

Food was good and hot. The service was excellent. Plates are removed now when you are finished. Great improvement. The restaurant is a lot cleaner now.
After waiting an extra 20 minutes for my online order I get it back opened it up and was in shock I paid $14 for this! Not to mention the banana bread was hard and crunchy. I did call and the manager did make it right! So point is don't be afraid to call if something isn't right!

I’m a fan of bob Evans breakfast, so on a recent trip I stopped at the one in Van Wert on my way home. The customer service was unmatched by any one I’ve been to that I can remember. The hostess that sat me made sure she got my drink order right away and brought it quickly. She then came back later to give me a refill on my coffee. My waitress was friendly and quick and another employee stopped by the table to make sure I was enjoying everything.
I always enjoy the food at bob evans, but the customer service here is what made this visit special.

The service was ok after 30 min wait to be seated do to short staffing for dine-in. I ordered the slow roasted turkey dinner. I got 5 baby carrots, small amount of mashed potatoes and 1 very thin slice of turkey that was like jerky on the edges. With higher prices and the small portion size the last couple times of eating there will most likely not coming back.

Our server Katie was very nice, as for the food, well, it was ok, but if the portions get any smaller we'll need to order 2 meals just to be slightly full. I don't think the mashed taters were much bigger than a golf ball.

This place has really, really gone downhill since COVID hit. Got myself some of the hardest, crustiest "signature" Mac n cheese I've ever seen and the cup it came in looked like it had been wet and stuck to something else and then torn away. Really a disgrace. Came in to pick up an online order, girl at the counter looked right at me and then walked away into the kitchen. A woman I thought was maybe the manager asked me if "she" knew I was there a couple of minutes later. I told her "she" saw me standing there as she turned and walked away. The girl was back from the kitchen a few minutes later. I'm just really disappointed.

Got the counrty biscuit breakfast & it was good, but the portions of the dishes were really small! My husband got the sunshine skillet, said the potatoes were undercooked & his was really small too! I guess everything is getting smaller for the same price or more!
