There is not a lot of options in Van Wert. I found this place and it looks very basic and more like a 1980s dinner. I had a salad and the blue cheese dressing was amazing, I ordered the NY strip, it was so good, great char from the grill, great seasoning and cooked perfectly. Best steak I have had in a long time.

The Black Angus was much better than than I expected. It is primarily a steak type place but does have several items plus a bar.

Tried the new location. Sat there over 45 minutes waiting for our food. Had a booth. The seat was lumpy. Will go only to the down town one in the future.

Nice bar with friendly faces, various decor and pretty good prices. An outstanding place for food, music and, recreational play.
I have nothing good to say on this review. Decided this would be a good place to eat before a show at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center. No reservation despite me calling to reserve a table but at least we were able to be seated. Not sure that was a good thing. My silverware was disgusting. Some type of black sticky substance. No bread with our meals. Salad did not taste good. Forgot my shrimp cocktail. None of us liked our rice pilaf. My ribs were not good at all. Tough and not a good taste. At least the water tasted fine. If this is the best in Van Wert, I feel sorry for the people who live here.

Tried to dine here as when we have come back to van wert we have eaten there with family on a few occasions. This time our experience was awful. No service at all. Waited, waited, our server completely ignored us ( no staffing issues that we saw) After waiting 25 minutes and listening to servers complaining about how busy they were earlier, we left, and gave our business to someone who wanted to make some $$$
