Big Ed's Main Street Soda Grill

3rd time I’ve been there, things have changed food was cooked so hard it was difficult to chew. I couldn’t believe they charged $9.90 for a root beer float. All together I paid $81 dollars for 3 hamburgers 3 dogs 3 fries and. 3 rootbear floats. Fries were good guess burgers were good, but hotdogs were deep fried so hard couldn’t chew them. Service was a+ but cook can’t cook well. Last time I was there cooked served me French fries left over I complained and they replaced them. I use to love going there but not so sure anymore $81 bill blew me away. Who charges &10 for a float Ty

Went over Memorial Day weekend. Great food, great service and the front was decorated with military uniforms. As a retired 30 year veteran, thank you for remembering and honoring our men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the Nation! We will be back.

Took my Mom there for late Mother’s Day brunch and omg she just loved the Burgers 🍔!!! She said they tasted like the good old days! So we highly recommend this cute little restaurant! Absolutely delicious 😋

Food was great, service was super friendly and real. Malts were outstanding. Lots of history in that old building, the atmosphere is very pleasant. We ate then walked the area local businesses. Had a great day.

The service was very friendly and we loved learning about the History. We ordered several items to try and we loved them all . The cheese sticks were fried to a golden brown and the burgers were delicious. Thank-you for your friendly staff, great food and service as this made for an enjoyable visit.❤️

Mom and Pop old soda fountain shop with snacks and meals all for a great deal. Our kids love to eat at Big Eds, after swimming in the summer, or shopping at boutiques in the winter. Great sodas, shakes, food and service to be found at Big Eds Main Street Soda. They are also open Mondays.(Which most in Vermillion are closed.) Owners and staff are personable and can offer options on their menu to finding your way downtown. You wont regret stopping in for lunch or dinner!🎉

Old school ice cream shop that also has good burgers. Friendly neighborhood kids usually working it and best part is it won't bust your wallet!

CHARMING! I cannot rave enough about this charming little soda grill! It feels like you are stepping back in time when you enter this little ice cream shop. Right on the corner in cozy little Vermilion. We usually stop in around fall time! They offer the most delicious pumpkin sundae! I must tell you about our last experience there. The most kind and helpful young man helped us! He brought us waters to the table & our sundae was ready within minutes. He even offered to take our photo at the table! This service is not easy to come by! I wish I would’ve gotten his name but he was excellent! I recommended taking your family here or a parent or grandparent to experience this service and atmosphere. There are many vintage pieces on the wall & so much history inside!
