We Visited for the first time and can’t say enough about the experience. The space is well designed and welcoming. All the staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. The waitress Olivia was very polished and knowledgeable about the menu. There were so many tempting items that it was hard to choose. The lamb papusa appetizer was unique and delicious. All the entrees were so flavorful, thoughtfully plated, and the fish perfectly cooked to the perfect doneness. We will be back to try more of the menu.

Pros: Flavor profiles, Drinks, Service

Cons: Loud customers

Tucked away in a little corner of Wadsworth square, there sits an unassuming and well dressed restaurant that caters to flavors of the seasons every 10 weeks. The Vue boasts about its ever changing menu, inviting you to join their table and taste the flavors it dictates every 10 weeks.

My husband and I don’t loudly announce our presence nor did we wear anything special to the Vue, though we very well could have. The Vue is a place you can come in well dressed or like you’ve just got done shopping at the local thrift store (which we had just done earlier that day), and not be treated any differently than if you shown up in suit and tie and floor length ballgown.

Behind a gaggle of better dressed elderly patrons, we were greeted the same way they had, with bright smiles and doors held open. A refreshing take on regular dining experiences.

Our reservation had been at 5:30 and we were promptly seated, drinks ordered and an attentive waitress who was always present and ready but not overbearing in a sense where you felt overwhelmed.

My husband partook in a neat glass of Weller while I chose to indulge in a lavender martini, you can always judge an establishment on their martinis, and I’m pleased to say that The Vue did not disappoint. The subtle hints of lemon and lavender gave a refreshing and biting taste to a traditional martini that paired beautifully with their well seasoned stuffed grape leaves we chose for our appetizers.

Within 24 minutes after we were seated, we had our main entrees: the Greek lamb (my husband) and the pork Normandy (myself).

Now lamb is a tricky meat to prepare and execute, and the Vue did execute well. Tender, melt in your mouth lamb, paired with orzo and zucchini, each flavor held its own separately, but put together, it was an intense rich flavor that was surprisingly aromatic without being overwhelming, no flavor overpowered the other. It was a beautiful masterpiece of complementary flavors put together.

The pork Normandy, was beyond anything I could have prepared myself for. Perfectly delicate flavors, just like the lamb, with each item on your plate having their own unique flavor profile that held its own singularly but when put together gave itself an entirely different experience.

My mouth is watering just thinking about the flavors, being able to remember each one on its own is something that many establishments, fine dining wise, attempt to do and most fail, however for this Mediterranean Menu, they have absolutely accomplished their task and more so. Paired with a beautiful Sauv Blanc, enhancing the taste even more.

Afterwards, we enjoyed the Orange Olive Oil cake, was surprisingly light for being such a dense cake, with subtle , not overwhelming flavors of orange that was refreshing and had a back end flavor of the olive oil.

Now, we came in here with a heavy bias, to be fair we had been testing the Vue on its professionalism and its menu. We had been following the Vue and waiting for a menu we believed we would enjoy, and we absolutely were blown away.

It’s not many times that I give rave reviews where I have had previous heavy biased opinions on, but the Vue is the exception.

We are very excited to see what comes next and hope to be pleasantly surprised by their next menu in the next 7 weeks.

Very nice location in downtown Wadsworth. Modern looking corner spot with classic bar.

Wife ordered halibut (most expensive item) and was very disappointed. Flavorless. She considered asking for salt and pepper. I had scallops (second most expensive item). Also disappointed. Not bad, but flavors just didn't work well together and overpriced for what it was.

Service and cocktails were good, and I had nice Malbec. This was the last day before a new menu, so there's that. Not fair to condemn a restaurant based on one visit. Really want this place to succeed. Will definitely try again, but will choose lower priced, non-seafood dishes. I hope to improve this review next time around.

Amazing atmosphere and dining experience. Warmly greeted by staff and seated. Fast and tasty cocktails followed by a basil caprese type salad with Burrata. Very delicious. We chose the chicken entree that was cooked to perfection with nice juicy bites followed by a satisfying crunch. The flavors were great. Pricing was quite fair. We will definitely be back to see what new offerings they have next time.

Wadsworth is so fortunate to have Vue in its town! The vibes are a perfect blend of modern forward thinking hospitality complimented by time honored restaurant operations that seem to have eroded. They care about your entire overall experience. The food is thoughtfully prepared and presented with a charming flair and sensible seasonal local infused ingredients. Truly a chef driven menu that will keep you coming back for repeat visits just to see what they’ve dreamed up next. At the time of this review it is Spring of 2025 and the menu is loaded with fresh spring ingredients like asparagus, fava beans, mushrooms and so much more. Our table enjoyed the Scallops, Steak noodle dish, beet salad, duck wings, gnocchi, chicken and artichoke tart.

By the way, the beverage selection was top notch with just enough whimsy but not gimmicky in any sort of way. I enjoyed the vesper and penicillin cocktails. Service was humble yet attentive.
They knew we were having a dinner meeting and they matched our needs perfectly. Not too obtrusive, not aloof and the right amount of checking in on us. I can hardly wait until my next dining experience at Vue.

Awful experience. The food had no flavor, and the place stank like sewage.

Worst food experience. I got the risotto with braised lamb, it had no salt and looked like baby puree. My husband got the veal and it was tough and tasted like poor quality flank steak.. AND when they asked if they could get me another dish since I was dissatisfied, they brought me another awful tasting dish (the arugula pasta - again no salt) and charged for both dishes!!! No hospitality. Really disappointed. Never coming back.

From the moment we walked in, the service, atmosphere, and ambiance were incredible—slightly elevated yet still warm, comfortable, and inviting. The space is beautifully modern without feeling too formal, making it perfect for a relaxed night out or a special occasion.

The menu is seasonal, fresh, and modern with a creative flair that truly delivers on flavor. We were impressed by the quality and presentation of everything we ordered. The drinks and wine list were another standout—expansive, fresh, and surprisingly reasonably priced.

We had the beet salad, gnocchi, rainbow trout, and red velvet dessert, and every single dish was amazing. Our favorites were the beet salad and rainbow trout, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

This was hands down the best meal we’ve had since moving to Akron in July—and we’ve tried a lot of places. We’ll absolutely be back.
