Winans Coffee & Chocolate

Stopped by while I was driving through. The drink was fantastic and the service from the young woman who took my order and made my drink was great. Definitely a place I’ll stop again if I drive by the area.

Charming little coffee and chocolate shop in downtown Wapakoneta, Ohio.
Just passing through having some work done on my camper at Airstream, I rolled in at 6:30 AM and they were waiting for me with a cheerful smile and friendly service.
I am not a fancy coffee drinker. All I require is a to the brim cup of black coffee. This coffee was extraordinary. You could tell the roast was fresh and perfectly blended.
I opted for the 20 ounce because the 24 ounce cup may lead people to think I have a coffee addiction. But I do!!
It was all I could do to not buy one of every piece of that delicious looking chocolate from the counter.
If you live in Wapakoneta Ohio, I envy you.
I would be at the shop every morning if I could.

Beautiful owners, beautiful shop, beautifully delicious coffee…. What else could you ask for?

The person I was with didn't want to be seen with 2 dudes in a small town with the got she been with since 1996.

The shop is cool and quaint. When I went in they were pretty busy. If you go to Wapak and have a sweet tooth or need a hot beverage then I recommend you stop in.
The staff (12/6/24) were very nice. I went in with no intention to purchase anything, but the girl (with the great eyebrows) was very friendly and made my day. She has great charm and if I was her employer I'd be very proud of her. I don't know her name but I guess you will know who she is. The other two were also very friendly.

I only had a dirty chai latte, but it was exactly what I needed. I also had a small meeting in the back with some associates - a perfect place for that! I did have any food, but it all looked delicious

The 1 taking orders this morning acted like it was her first day. It was the first time that when my coffee had a dome lid on it and I asked for a sippy lid, the person that made my drink acted like it was really putting her out to change the lid. This was first time the atmosphere in this place was not very friendly. And I find that very strange. I have been coming here for 4 yrs now and never felt like a stranger in this place. Others waiting for there orders were complaining to each other about poor service as they waited for there drinks to be made.
