Our first time and I cannot believe we have not been here before. Everything was so good and full of flavor. Generous proportions and the ladies are so sweet!

I've never had such bland Chinese food in my life. Yuck. I got cashew chicken and the cashews were soft and weird. The chicken was rubbery and weird. Why is it sooo hard to find good Chinese food around here??

This used to be a great take out place. My favorite for 5 years since moving here. Something change since the new year and quality of the food has been sub par. I am not sure if it’s new ownership, new supplier, or a new chef but it is not the same and does not live up to their past reputation. The crab ragoons are terrible compared to the previous form. The beef teriyaki sticks are not a form of beef jerky instead of their juicy former selves. All the food is overly salty.

I'm really picky about any Asian cuisine. This place is the real deal. Any restaurant that cooks scallops correctly is a 5 star ⭐ for me!

Good food and generous portions! Had the Princess and General Tsao Chicken plus Crab Rangoons. Our preferred Chinese takeout location.

I ordered the chicken with mixed vegetables, and all I could taste was salt. Way too much salt in everything.

We had house chicken steak, chicken was tinder and the sauce was great, and house noodle soup was also delicious, and big size, will be back soon for it :)

Been here many times with my friends — it’s a nice place to have dinner. We always order the Sweet and Sour Chicken (sauce on the side) and General Tso’s Chicken as appetizers. They’re actually main courses, but they work much better as appetizers — kind of like Chinese-style chicken nuggets. The Peking Ribs are delicious; they take a little time to prepare, but they’re definitely worth the wait. My friends discovered that many great dishes are listed under the “House Specials” category, and we’ll make sure to try them all in the future!

The flavors were good, the hot & sour soup was all good. The chicken lomein did not have any vegetables at all. The hunan beef was just beef and a over the top amount of celery. The portions are very small for the dinner price compared to other similar restaurants. $69.00 for two people.

Been going there for 30 years. It's close by, food isn't as good as the old days.
Just not my favorite, quality lacking, though plentiful:
Sweet & sour chicken
orange chicken
fried rice
$40, 4pm Saturday
Both meals were sweet and saucy, a little too sweet. I've never had orange chicken that distinctly tasted of orange marmalade. I've never had sweet and sour chicken take-out that was pre-sauced (in nearly 50 years).
The chicken pieces had a hint of shrimp flavor to them, probably shared boiling oil.
The chicken was saucy outside the breading, but dry and stringy inside... almost like it had been fried twice hoping to last while sitting in heavy sauce. Some of the pieces felt like the candied, sauced breading had baked to a really hard tough piece, almost like when you try to bite into chicken skin thats been fried... to be clear, I dont think this was skin, just the hard crunchy texture.
The white rice was strangely unflavorful, sticky, but strangely dry. I just cant seem to decide what was just not quite right.
The fried rice was ok. Actually, enjoyed the way the snow peas were sliced and added, bite size.
I've had all kinds of US chinese food in many states, and chinese food in several foreign countries... barely a step up from Pittsburgh chinese food (so not the lowest!), below coastal Virginia chinese food - but just not good enough to try again.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times a year for 30+ years. This was not at all what I have come to expect. Pen peng chicken was rock hard and no chicken to be found inside of the overly crispy breading. I asked to have it remade. I was refused. I was told that is just how the dish is and that remaking it wouldn’t help. I ended up watching my daughter eat her lunch and left hungry. I went down the road to china cottage and my daughter watched me eat. So so very disappointing.
