Great home-cooked food.

The food was barely warm. We waited almost an hour for basically frozen hamburger patties that were thawed in microwave then tossed on flat top to brown and then right back in the microwave.. I guess that is their idea of down home cooking.

Our waitress was wonderful. Best blue cheese dressing.

This used to be a fav place to go when we were in the area, today my daughter and I went, there was people sitting in the front with open booths available and yet they sat us all the way in back by ourselves, the food was NOTHING Like it used to be, will not be back.

Our hometown restaurant has new owners and they are truly doing an amazing job. The food has improved greatly, the place has new offerings with the mercantile shop in the front and bar space in the back, and all the staff is wonderfully kind and helpful. If you haven’t been or it’s been a while - stop in and check them out! Highly recommend!

Had dinner at village family restaurant and it was great. Food was great along with great service. Very relaxing atmosphere. Of you ever get to the Waynesville area, stop by the village family restaurant. You will like it.

New management has taken a good restaurant and ruined it. The menu is half of what it used to be. The food and service were equally bad. I was very disappointed in the place where I used to love to eat. Probably won't be back. I

Very nice place to eat, big difference with new owners. My wife got the seafood farer, my daughter got the salmon and I got the lasagna. The fried cornbread and dip was wonderful as well as the coleslaw and cauliflower. Overall a great meal. Service was excellent!

Terrible experience! Recently sold and the change is very disappointing. Service was not satisfactory, no tomatoes for sandwich. Never checked on our table after meals delivered. Not attentive to customers. Prices have raised considerably. Unfortunately will not be back! Very sad!
