Wineries near West Alexandria

“This place is really cool and there's lots to do there. They have the Apple orchard, they have the petting zoo, plus the pumpkin patch. They have their winery and market as well. He went apple picking and took advantage of the petting zoo, they had sheep and a donkey and rabbit and I believe they had a pig somewhere but I didn't see him. Our toddlers loved them! They have quite a number of variety of Apple types. More than most other local orchards. They also have so many different types of already pre-picked pumpkins, some of them. I've never seen such varieties before. So it was really cool to see those.

I didn't try any of the wine but it seemed like some people were enjoying it. They have a specific server for the wine. It looks like they also have an upstairs for wine tastings.

The market area had a nice variety of books and decor and what not. They also had apple cider slushies. They had a few baked goods like apple cider donuts and they only had one blueberry handheld pie left. But both of them were so good, the donut was probably one of the best apples that are donuts I've ever had.

That being said, it is kind of cramped in there. And they only have one register. And apparently if you use a credit card, the internet Network that the registers connected to takes a very long time so checking out takes forever. The line was basically out the door. We paid with cash which seemed to speed things up for us, but just be prepared to wait for like 20 minutes in line. It's not the poor clerk girl's fault, though. There just needs to be at least a cash line and then another line for credit cards. At minimum.

Overall, this was a really nice place. If I had any recommendations I would tell them to make the apple picking directions a little bit more clear. Luckily there was a helper around who kind of directed us, but several people were very confused and ended up just asking random customers. It wasn't very well labeled in the directions were not straightforward. They need more signage regarding the Apple picking.

They also need to have at least two registers open, especially during the peak weekend times.

Overall, great experience and I'm sure it'll get even better
