For the most part a good food experience. I wouldn’t get the turkey tails again because they’re cooked a little too hard so there wasn’t much meat but everything else is great especially the Banku & Tilapia. A little on the pricey side even for the sides but everything tastes pretty good & seasoned well.

When I first started going there the food was absolutely delicious! The last 2 times I ordered, the original owner was not there. The young lady that’s in there is not good. I ordered okra soup and fufu and the okra was like wooden stalks and my beef was as hard as steel. So I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. Today I ordered palm nut soup and fufu and it is completely watered down! I’m so over this place until the owner is back and cooking again! Very disappointed!

Love this restaurant! Always order when I need the convenience of a home cooked West African dish without having to make it myself. Everything I've tried has been delicious!

Very bad experience I have ordered a Gucci soup with goat meat got to work and I had beef with goat fat and hardly any soap for $25 called made a complaint they told me they would give me my money back plus they are going to give me a meal, so I ordered goat meat with FuFu like chicken soup and I got tomato soup with goat meat unseasoned very nasty no taste dis Gusting I would never ever go to this place and I would never ever send anybody to go to this place …

It was our first time dining here, and also first time tasting African food. The place was small, informal, and cozy. The people there were very friendly and took the time to give us recommendations. We had jollof rice with goat (The rice was seasoned with a mild spicy flavor. We eat a lot of lamb at home but not goat. To me the meat tasted leaner and with a special flavor that lamb doesn't have.), fried rice with fried chicken (The fried rice was very good with a soy sauce flavor; the fried chicken was very good too.), and fried African yam chips with fried fish (It was great, to me it was like fried flour-coated taro sticks and I love taro.) All were big portions. The first two dishes were served with salad. It came down to just under $20 each. Once we placed the order we were told it would take 25min+ for the food to be cooked. It was indeed that which felt a bit long. Would like to be back and try a few other things on the menu.

The food was good - we got jollof rice with goat, jerk chicken, and goat curry with coconut rice. Very flavorful.Unfortunately, the service for dine in left much to be desired. We got there around 6:45 pm and they asked us if we were eating in, in which we replied “yes,” then they proceeded to say “we close at 8 pm though.” That was ample time to eat and leave. We just didn’t feel welcomed. There were four of us, and they did not bring enough silverware and on top of that the silverware they did bring out was wet. We wiped it off ourselves.I would eat here again, but maybe just take out.

Loved this place until the last time I went. Wanted no pink in the Hamburger......It was pink/red and cold.....so were the fries.

Two reasons you should go to Divine Appetite: 1. Great Caribbean/African food. 2. Support a great locally owned family restaurant. This was restaurant 2 (of 24) of my wife and my December eating Advent calendar. What a great treat! My wife ordered the Fufu (think of mashed potatoes, but made of Casava). It came with a spicy soup and a whole Tilapia (including bones). Our food supply has mostly made us forget our proteins were living at some point, so I quite enjoy the "bone in" experience due to it's lack of processing and higher freshness. I ordered the Fried Red Snapper and it took was the whole fish. We both loved the flavors! For sides I had fried plantains and a black-eyed pea dish. Both Amazing. So the food and love and attention put into it by the family is the hero here. It is hard to describe, but we just feel better after eating fresh food, and that is how we left Devine Appetite... feeling great This restaurant is exactly as I would expect from a small family owned business. It is in an unassuming strip mall location. Many of the family work there (I counted 3 generations). The food is prepared when ordered, so it will not be a quick in and out experience. My wife and I loved this vibe and will certainly come back. We saw many people come in to grab food as take out, so that is also an option.

Amazing food and amazing people! This is the spot to go to for great food and great vibes, and reasonable price.

Worst experience ever! This restaurant needs to be shut down! They had me pay $16.50 for some 'zatarain' rice with 4 tiny pieces of 'goat FAT' (not meat!) with a tiny salad in the same container as my hot food. This can not be made up and its super sad! People will try to sell you ANYTHING and charge way more than the stuff you know/are used to. This should be illegal! Do not, I repeat, do not disappoint yourself like I did!!!#shouldhavegonetoTERANGA'S!PERIOD! (I wish I could post the pic of the ridiculousness!)
