My husband and I stopped by this cozy, family-owned restaurant in search of a good home-cooked meal—and we absolutely found it. We arrived about 25 minutes before closing and, not wanting to impose, I asked the greeter if she’d prefer we come back another time. She smiled warmly and welcomed us in, inviting us to sit wherever we liked. That kind of hospitality set the tone for the whole visit.

Don't let the exterior fool you!! The service was top notch, and the food really was fantastic. I have had burgers all over Cincinnati and believe that the Wooden Barrel Burger I ordered is likely the best I have had in the city. We were pretty hungry and completely forgot to photograph the food, very sorry for that. The wooden barrel burger was amazing per my husband. I had the fish it eas good, I didn't like the tartar sauce which was fine the fish was good didn't need any tartar sauce
