I had a great Galentines here with the family. They offer such a unique experience. I’ve always wanted to have a tea party. It’s super girly and it’s common for bridal parties and groups to come here to celebrate.

I was out doing some window shopping, and the cute window display caught my eye. I’ve always wanted to try loose leaf tea for years. But admittedly am not an expert so I was a little nervous coming in and didn’t know what to expect. I had no reason to be nervous at all. Both Alexandria (the owner) and Jes were so helpful when it came to recommending teas they liked, which teas sold well, and what they thought I might like according to my palate. The way the shop is set up is very beginner friendly for people who may want higher quality tea but are intimidated like myself. The “sniff wall” as Jes called it, is color coded by which type of tea it is, and in alphabetical order. Plus, they even have a list with caffeine content for each tea and have cards with instructions on how to brew each tea. Alexandria is so knowledgeable about teas, herbs, and spices. I left with even more than what I intended to and will happily do so again after trying them. My favorites so far are Island Strawberry and The Collagen Booster. Thank you, Alexandria and Jes for the chit chat, and for the help finding teas I would love. Can’t wait to see you both again!

I have gone to Blue Turtle every 6 weeks or so for at least 5 years. I love the Uptown Cinnamon tea and would buy several bags each time I visited. I just went to the new location (new ownership) and was shocked to see the price for a bag of tea went from $19.99 to $33.99. 42% increase!! The employee just shrugged and said "tariffs." Then when I got home and tried the tea, it wasn't the same Uptown Cinnamon that I have bought for years. What I have bought in the past has a red hot flavor. This new one does not. The woman who helped me said it is the same tea, but having drunk it every day for years, I certainly know the difference. She wouldn't refund the tea because it had been opened, (Obviously, how else would I have tried it?) Very poor (almost rude) customer service. I'm sad because I have been a loyal customer for years and loved the product they used to have. I won't be returning.
