Double Barrel Kitchen & Bar

I just moved to New Albany recently and wanted to try this place out. I ordered a caesar salad and come to find out after a couple bites there was a heavy rusty metal piece in my salad! Safe to say i won’t be returning, not even sure how you can miss that before giving it to a customer!!

My server Sky was amazing!!! such a hard worker, will be coming again just for her!

Potatoe skins sent back cold in the middle. Pizza greasy. Beer $2 glass of soda $3.

They had all doors open. The Canadian smoke was coming in, and it also got very hot in the bar. I did not see any ceiling fans.
I doubt if we will ever return.

Very noisy. Slow service as we had to search for our server for our check. The food was good. Live music was not good. They added a convenience charge to the check which I don't like. The seating was mostly hitop and some of my party was uncomfortable.

No one would acknowledge us even standing right beside us. Had time to go to the restroom. Listen to a couple songs. Sooooo we left. Love date night Saturday nights getting ruined and no one wants to wait on you at restaurants. Don’t cry when people stop patronizing.

I wanted some wings today and decided to visit Double Barrel. I'm glad I did. It wasn't crowded. It was right before lunch time. I ordered 5 with Carolina Gold and 5 BBQ rub and OMG they were great. Crispy and tasteful. The atmosphere was great and the young lady behind the bar was excellent. She saw me walk in and addressed me right away. She took my order and followed up with me on when they will be done. This was on Tuesday the 17th in mid morning to afternoon. Great wings and great service.

Walked in- seat yourself, Happy to do so. Sat for <15 mins without even being greeted, our existence acknowledged, offered water..
We called ahead to see that they were open and the woman who answered the phone said, “yes,”but sounded dissuasive, stating how “It’s a packed restaurant and there will be a wait time bc there is only 1 spot maybe, left outside.” (Word for word). We were only 1min away and starving, so we took the gamble.

There were 8 tables of people here. 2 tables left. 2 servers that we could see. Bonus- it smells recently painted (not trying to be a jerk about that bc I get it- but on an empty tummy, not a good combo). After finally being approached, we decided to place our order and give this place a try. Having worked in the service industry- we get it.

We got our burgers somewhat timely. You can tell that the meat is good and quality, I also appreciate the grilled buns- but it was nothing to write home about. No flavor or savoriness. Only condiments on the table were ketchup, mustard, salt + napkins- all dusty w lint and literal cobwebs on them (including a strand of hair). Lights in restaurant kept flickering on and off. We didn’t want to stop our server to ask for any other condiments bc we were over being asked “What can I get you,” 2x previously, and not hospitably.

Truly, we were hoping to enjoy finding a new place to give our business to bc we always eat the same places routinely, but we definitely won’t be back here. Not worth the drive, the service, atmosphere or food.

Some of the best food in the area! The Cowboy burger & Peanut Butter Bacon Burger are my favorites. Get the onion rings too!
