Original Pancake House Reviews
Great gluten free friendly menu
This was the best bacon I've ever had in a restaurant. The strawberry Belgian waffle was delicious! The portions are huge!
I can't wait to come back the next time we're in town.
I have only ever eaten at the The Original Pancake House in Toledo, Ohio. Me and my friends decided to come to this location for our Eid breakfast now that I live in the Columbus, Ohio area. The food was delicious! Better than two other places I have tried when our two Eid Holidays come around. The service was awesome. The Original Pancake House serves generous portions of delicious breakfast food, including their signature pancakes and crispy bacon. The menu features a range of options, with highlights like the confetti pancakes and the Irish omelet, which many customers find particularly impressive. While some have noted a lack of dairy-free choices, the food remains consistently tasty, and the fresh-squeezed orange juice is especially praised for its exceptional quality.
The atmosphere is described as cool, and the service is generally fast, even during busy times. Customers have praised the attentive and pleasant service, with servers like Rebecca and Tracy providing excellent attention to detail. The Westerville location is particularly known for its great server, Dorothy. Many customers have been impressed with the food, service, and ambiance, with some describing the Western omelet as the best they've ever had. The plain regular pancakes are also a favorite, as they are not overly sweet like at other chains.
While some have expressed concerns about the prices, with breakfast costing around $30 per person after extras, the large portions can contribute to a higher bill. Some diners have suggested that smaller portions would be preferred. Overall, The Original Pancake House provides a delightful breakfast experience, but customers should be aware of the potential for high prices and consider their budget when dining here.
