A few things I noticed were: 1. If you plan on going to the establishment on a busy night you will need to make a reservation because their seating area is a little small but allows for a more romantic atmosphere. However my wife and I choose to go on a Sunday night which didn't require a reservation. 2. Their homemade dipping sauces for myself were a little plaid except for the one that was just extremely spicy.
The food and restaurant were great! The bathrooms were absolutely horrible. They were very dirty and not at all maintained. I felt like I was back at a college bar. There was no soap in the containers, just a hand soap bottle left on the sink that was uncomfortable to even touch. No paper towels, very little toilet paper. The floor was littered. The walls had graffiti. I was so disappointed and the condition made me worry about what the kitchen looked like. For a restaurant in Crocker park, where the prices were high, should not have a restroom that looks like that! It's not like they were too busy to get to it either as there were only two or three tables filled with customers to take care of. Thus will keep me from going to this place again.
We went to Barroco to celebrate my husband's birthday. We really liked the restaurant's decoration and ambiance. I was born in Peru, so I was excited to order Ceviche. I was highly disappointed. It hardly had any flavor, and it was missing one of the main ingredients: rocoto! (hot chilly pepper). Yet, my husband and my daughter were satisfied with their orders. And the three of us LOVED the flan!
The atmosphere was adorable and the food was incredible 🤤 . The service was even better ! Thank you Tsunami for all of the recommendations ! We will definitely be back !!

I have been going to the lakewood Borocco since 2014 maybe before then, so when I heard about the crocker park location, I had to check it out. My husband and i went for dinner in December 2024. My husband and enjoyed ourselves so much that night. I'm latina so I grew up with this kind of food and my husband's father is from Colombia, and other family from El Salvador etc, so he also was happy the food was enjoyable. Unfortunately, 01/25/25 was a complete 180. Our neice got empanadas and the oil was inch deep in her bowl. She had chest pains and everything after eating and all that oil made it taste badly. I will say it upset us we spent 33 bucks for empanadas we really never wanna have again. The mojito I ordered wasn't terrible but the big chunks of sugar at the bottom of the glass made me not finish it. I love a good mojito and it just didn't do it for me. The carne asada patacon was delicious but the portion was significantly scant compared to the month before. My husband and I shared thar dish bc the month before this visit we each got our own and it was such a large amount of food we couldn't finish. We assumed we'd be able to share but there were way less and way smaller tostones which is why we got another order of empanadas before our neice mentioned she rly didn't enjoy hers... Were so disappointed with this expierence and while I'm sure it was just an off night, the cost of a dinner that wasn't filling, satisfying, or even enjoyable is a bit maddening. We truly hope this isn't the norm there.

Barroco at Crocker Park is one of my favorite places. The Latin American food choices are excellent and the food quality is always good. I have never had bad service there, even when they were crowded. It's a fun place to go.
They were pretty slow when we arrived. The server took about 7 minutes to greet us. She was very nice, but was not very expedient. Overall the food was ok, I was hoping for more flavor, it was pretty bland. Definitely overpriced for what it was, but that's to be expected since it's a restaurant in Crocker Park. Total for two people was $110... We don't plan on returning.
It was freezing cold next to the chimney because of the draft even though the fire was on, but was otherwise lovely! Great food, service, and ambience, and we loved the Christmas decorations and festive drink menu. The mistletoe martini was DELICIOUS!
Nice Ambience, Good service and Decent food.

I discovered Barroco about 8 months ago, and it is now a must for me to visit when I am in town! I travel to Cleveland for work every few months and i look forward to eating here! Everyone is friendly here and Sunami makes great drinks and is very friendly and makes you feel welcome! Highly recommend the Chorizo Patacons and the Flan!!

Both the food and service (Sunami) were excellent. I recommend the empanadas. They not only taste good, but the variety of sauces that come with this appetizer are also delicious and come in handy for the entrees.

Barocco is a great place to go in this area. The food is great and the service is too. The bartender definitely does not disappoint. They have a lot of great salsas and sauces to sample. A great option in the area if you are uncertain of what to try.

Absolutely terrible service. Pip was slow disrespectful to our group. It took over 2 hrs for us to get in and out of the establishment.. the one in lakewood is 100% better. Not going back unfortunately to this location.

I should have been worried when the waitress said she told everyone her name is Pip in case they complained. I have never had such awful service in my years of dining out. I couldn't figure out how she could be so terrible until the bill came. Because there were more than 6 at our table, an automatic tip of 20% was added to my bill. She didn't care about her level of service because she was guaranteed 20%. After serving our food, we never saw her again until we hunted her down for our bills. I will never patronize this restaurant again and suggest others consider other options. The food was excellent but not worth the poor service.
