I really wanted to like this place but this is straight up gora pakora Indian food. Super toned down. Feels like it’s made for people who are scared of flavor.
I ordered the chicken wrap. The naan was burnt. Not toasted. Burnt. You can taste it immediately and it kind of ruins the whole thing. The chana masala tasted like dirty masala… like the spice mix wasn’t fresh or something was just off. No depth, no warmth, just bland.
Indian food is supposed to hit you with flavor. This didn’t.
Maybe it works for some people, but if you grew up eating real Indian food, this probably isn’t it.
Wouldn’t go back.

I’ve been coming to Choolaah for the past two years, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. My absolute favorite is the chicken spicy bowl with mango sauce—the perfect mix of heat and sweetness!
Charo is amazing—always so friendly and provides super great customer service every time I come in. Ahmad is also fantastic and makes the experience even better. The whole team is welcoming, the service is quick, and the atmosphere keeps me coming back. Highly recommend! 😊

Went to this Choolah for the first time after going to others in the area on the east side for several years an was left incredibly disappointed. We usually go to Choolah and order 4-6 entrees with a group of friends that we commonly eat with. When we order this many entrees it never takes more than 10-12 minutes for them to prepare our orders. However, this time in Crocker it was just my husband and me and we stopped at Choolah because we only had about 40 minutes to eat and it’s a healthy fast food option. It took over 25 minutes for our food to come out and we could see when it was done they put it up on the counter but there was no one at the register to pass it to us or page our beeper. We had to stand at the counter and wait for a kitchen staff to finally stop what they were doing at their station and give us our food by this time it had been 30 minutes since we ordered. We finally get to sit down and rush to eat and the food wasn’t even hot? It was barely warm! If we waited 30 minutes for food shouldn’t it be hot and fresh? It felt like the rice and veggies had been sitting already made and were completely cold while they must’ve been preparing only one part of our meal fresh? Perhaps the Marsala? It was an incredibly disappointing dinner and because we were rushed and it wasn’t that great I barely ate any of my bowl, I asked for a to-go lid to take my leftovers and they didn’t even have lids that fit my size bowl?? This Choolah is a sad, sad comparison to the ones on the east side.

First time here, Cashier was very helpful showing me the different's things on the menu. The food was really good alittle on the spicy side but delicious. I will beback if I get back in that area again. I recommend this Place of Business was a very clean establishment.

If you like Chipotle, CAVA, Qudoba, and those kind of spots, this is the final boss! So good and they’re generous with the protein. Quality was great, taste was awesome, atmosphere clean, and the owner was very nice. Come try this!
