I had a great dining experience at Chagrin River Diner! The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the Lunker or basically anything. Ask for Mikaela or Sandy., but all the servers are great!

Stopped in to see a local restaurant. Came inside to a warm and inviting atmosphere. We liked the view of the kitchen as they prepared your meal. We decided on the lunch menu with so many options that we had to request some help from Julianna our waitress. Many good options and we decided to split and conquer their menu. Appetizer choice was the Brussel Sprouts with Gorgonzola cheese and balsamic dressing. She settled upon the MonteyCristo with the crispy spuds. I chose the Ruben with their stuffed tater balls. Everything was absolutely amazingly delicious. The little fart balls were tender and tasty. The crispy spuds were delicious and crispy too. They make their dressing and sauces in house along with many of their cuts of meat freshly cut. You definitely need to stop in and try this place out. Shoutout to our waitress Julianna for the tremendous service and her infectious enthusiasm for this place. Definitely worth our next visit back to Willoughby.

This place was a bit of a wait to get seated, but boy was it sure worth it! Our waitress was very on point! The food was amazing and, considering how busy it was (and rightfully so), our food was cooked perfectly and within 15 mins after we ordered! Only mistake was... well, the waitress actually caught it before we did and fixed it on the spot! We love this place now!

The prime rib dip sandwich was out of this world. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. I had it delivered
...10 minutes away, and it arrived HOT. The au jus gravy was soooooo good. My new go-to for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I understand the 5 star rating
.

Great diner atmosphere and fresh, made in-house foods! We love their carnitas [both in the breakfast tacos and lunker], fresh, crispy breakfast potatoes and diner tots [that come with a really yummy dipping sauce!] The menu includes plenty of gluten-friendly and vegetarian options also. Chagrin River Diner is one of my favorites when I'm visiting family in the area!

Very confused restaurant. When we got there we were really excited about the menu...it looked fun and tasty. We got the zucchini cakes which were great. However our food came out luke warm and we had to flag down a different waitress to get a condiment...no one checked to see if we needed anything....I got the patty melt with potato spuds....was luke warm so not the best... definitely had been sitting so bread was soggy but the burger meat was tasty. My husband got the monte Cristo....worst sandwich he has ever had...he has the biggest sweet tooth...but that berry sauce didn't belong...and his food was almost cold.....he ate it in parts....we are not complainers so we ate and left quickly.
Service was sub par....no smiles or happy faces...actually the staff looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there. They also seemed like they didn't want us to be there ...I don't need anyone to kiss my feet but the vibe was definitely not friendly.
I think this place has an awesome menu but I don't know if they have the skill to pull it off. I might try it again....everyone has a bad night here and there.....but not for a while....

Being from out of town, we were looking for a local small business for dinner. We stopped at Hook & Hoof but the menu was too limited for us. We walked down the street and found Chagrin River Diner. We both ordered the Prime Rib breakfast and the Seafood bisque. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was delicious, service and food were prompt, and the prices were reasonable. Enjoyed this gem and will definitely visit when we're back in area again.
