“Haven’t been to JT’s Diner for about two years. Thought we’d give it a try as we remembered it being good at their previous location. We were very disappointed in our breakfasts. My crisp bacon was burnt to a crisp with burnt taste upon first bite. Our home fries used to be excellent “sliced” potato’s, but yesterday came as mush and the scrambled eggs were not even cut….just folded like an omelet. Coffee was good and hot, as in the past. For $20.53 I expected better. Don’t think I would return.”

“I love Arabica coffeehouse. It’s a really friendly environment in historic downtown Willoughby. The owners Tim and Tina Are both very nice and welcoming and their staff is friendly. I love the huge selection of teas that they have to choose from. This is where I go when I just don’t want to be home by myself. Love to come here read or work a little and people watch. There is always someone friendly to talk to. I’ve made lots of friends here over the years.”

“The custom cakes here are incredible. I had my daughter’s “camping” theme bday cake made here. She really wanted an ice cream cake, but I wasn’t sure if DQ was going to be able to do the design I wanted. I brought my ideas, photos and accessories. And let me tell you! The service I received from Belinda was better than some high end bakeries I’ve used for other events. She was so detail oriented and made sure everything was just how I wanted it, even following up with text reminders and questions. And the design was THE ABSOLUTE CUTEST!!! So happy with my experience here and very impressed !”

“I was surprised that Ballantine did not have a better star rating. We are passing through. Most well rated Willoughby restaurants were very full. Ballantine is a large place, lots of wood, with some crannies, one being in the back with a mantle and gas lighted fireplace. In live music before it switches to current sports. Special dinner: Clams which were very fresh, clam chowder with fresh vegetables, and a huge hamburger with greens. All good. Staff people were super friendly and helpful. A beautiful lighted outdoors with floor to ceiling glass. Couldn't have been any better. Thank you, Ballantine.”

“My friends, mom, and myself all decided to go to smoothie king tonight(1/07/2026) I tried to place a mobile order but I think the mobile orders shut off by the time I tried to do it. We went in to order about 15 minutes before close. The girl working there tonight was very nice about everything, even with us ordering 4 items so late. She made them super quick and with a kind attitude. I normally would have just went back another time since it was so late but my friends have never tried smoothie king and that was our plan for tonight. So thank you so much to the girl working for the positive attitude, I know what it can be like to have people ordering right before you close. “Went here for a birthday party—a private affair, if you will. Hulk Hogan had just died. Steve Miller and the J. Geils Band was blasting and the Yuenglings were flowing. The ten TV screens were showing a variety of horse races and the Tour de France (this was in LATE July, so you can’t really blame them). Parking was adequate. This was a pickleball and slide-on shoes crowd, and it was spectacular. Would return for the 60th birthday party if it’s held here.”

“I was not expecting too much from a chicken restaurant in a gas station. My expectations were not super high. I ordered 3 pieces of chicken, biscuit, and Mac and Cheese. The chicken was surprisingly juicy and crispy. The biscuit was a little dry with honey butter flavor. The Mac and Cheese was amazing. Lots of cheese. Pepsi products are offered. There is no self service drink machine but free refills are offered”

“Stop by Peking Chef for lunch between jobs. I ordered general tso chicken and man was it up there with the best of them. The girl at the counter was polite and the food was out fast, even though it looked like they were busy back there. I think I paid $12 for the combo.10/10 would recommend, would go back, got great value for my money.”

It was just a simple error-- the girl at the counter was very apologetic and the manager, Aiden corrected it and went above and beyond. This Arby's is also always clean when you go in.”

“I haven't even finished dining yet, but I'm leaving this review for the sake of the employees, because they deserve the good review.
It's 9 PM and the place is still rushing. Three employees are absolutely busting their butts trying to help each other through a shift change. I know they're a team because I watched them make sure they had their girl's back before leaving—only to hear her being yelled at over the phone by a manager because they were trying to leave at the end of their shifts.
Meanwhile, one of these girls is trying to get out the door because she's about to start getting charged by her babysitter, while I'm watching tables leave what looks like an average $2 tip. That's heartbreaking to watch.
The young woman who is now handling things largely on her own—including cooking—is doing an incredible job. She's friendly, optimistic, attentive, and somehow keeping a good attitude despite clearly being put in a very difficult position.
So this five-star review is for the employees working tonight. They are hustling, supporting each other, and taking care of customers. They deserve recognition for that.
Management: these are the kind of employees you should be taking care of, not putting in an impossible situation. They're the reason I'm leaving a good review tonight.”

“Barrio is casual Mexican dining and drinking. I enjoy it, because it's both casual and customizable. I never leave with a doggy bag. Hungry, get dip and a few tacos. Not feeling it, let everyone else eat big and only get one taco. In my experience food is always okay. Rotating specials are popular with people I visit with. Staff is always very decent.
