Restaurantji's guide to Willoughby's top Mexican dining experiences.
“This place has incredible food and beer. Come hungry because the portions are massive!! The outdoor rooftop is really cool. The only downside is this place is like 3 businesses in 1 and sometimes you can sense disorganization and cohesiveness is not there (sometimes they don’t know when the patio is to open for the season or they have some sort of drama in the kitchen) Though the food and upstairs rooftop atmosphere is incredible so you will regret not going here.“
“We go there Friday's usually around 1-2a.m. Always pretty busy and still always excellent. Our food has not been messed up once, always decent quality (never looks just thrown together), so we always make sure to tip the drive thru workers. Great service and we're never “
“Had great service. Soon as i walked in i got asked about how my day was, all the rice, beans and meat were fresh which i know some people are saying that it always isn’t.. it was. All the salsas were good and fresh. The young lady behind the counter was very fast and respectful. Very good portions also. As i get down to the cash register i got greeted once again and we had a nice short conversation. The flavors were there and were very good. Overall 10/10 I will be back“
“Don't walk, run to Casa Agave! It was my first time here this evening and wow! Service was phenomenal, and all of the food is so so delicious. You can tell that every dish from the salsa and queso to the entrees are all made with so much love and it has a very traditional vibe and taste to it. I will definitely be back to try more amazing dishes!“
“Order online so I'm not sure about the service or the atmosphere but the food birria Taco was good but $25.00 I expected more. Place service whole pizza while all they give you this half. So if you are sharing or have a big appetite one serving will not do and it 25 x whatever your fancy. It's not cheap.“
“first time experiencing this establishment and it wasn’t too bad tbh. the food came out fast but it was fresh so no complaints on the temperature. i believe i got carne asada medium, it was cooked great for a medium! rice and beans were cool too, i wished it came with salad & tortillas as well. the restaurant is decorated nicely. my only complaint was the chicken, it was tooo salty for my liking and i didn’t receive any chimichurri sauce now that i’m looking back on the menu. i don’t know if i’ll come back but i recommend everyone to try it!Kid-friendliness: the day i went they had a man there making things out of balloons“
“Good food . Good service. Fun atmosphere. I wanted to see if the improvements made were in place. I thought the restaurant was clean and there were a lot of interesting choices on the menu that I had not had in other Mexican restaurants. Everyone on staff was friendly and pleasant. We had Selena and she did a very nice job.“
“I ordered a macho quesadilla and though it as chicken and cheese only but then I found it also had chorizo in it and I didn’t read the menu properly online before ordering it. The guy had glasses and tattoos on hand, he was nice and replaced it for me on spot and it was quick. I would recommend place to anyone for food quality food.“
“What a great family owned Mexican Restaurant! The prices are very affordable! They have a huge menu! I recommend the dessert chimichonga! It's fried with cheesecake in the center! My Husband had the tilapia with shrimp & I had the chimichonga dinner with rice, beans, guacamole and Mexican salad! We will definitely be back! My Husband also had the Mexican street corn that was out of this world!“
“I would say this is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Lake County! Lots of food options on the menu. I got the fire fajitas and Texas margarita. Food portions are a decent size. We got lots of chips and salsa to go. Service was stellar and I will definitely be back to explore more food! Thank you for a great experience with wonderful food!“
