It’s a pretty passable suburban bakery! Not something I would go out of my way to get, but probably good enough if you don’t feel like driving into the city for something better.
The shop is clean and they’re nice there. Very salty, but I can’t complain too much as that’s probably just what the people of Lake County enjoy.
4/5 stars overall. 3/5 if it were in a more discerning area. 5/5 if you get your hair cut at Great Clips and do your grocery shopping at Target.

I’ve been wanting to try this place since it opened but it’s always sold out. Today I found out why. Hands down the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had. I also got the oatmeal cookie and pecan sticky bun and I think im addicted. So ridiculously good. And Michael is so sweet! Definitely recommend!!

Unlike most people, I did not try the cinnamon buns. I purchased both the regular and caramel brownies for a party. They were fabulous and people at the party gave them rave reviews. Michael is very nice too. I was in a hurry that day and he was helpful. The shop is spotlessly clean too.

My boyfriend and I were strolling along downtown Willoughby around 10am, nothing was really open except Michael’s. We stopped in, were greeted by a kind man and saw not much was left except some Cinnamon Rolls. Figured that meant they must’ve been good, tried one of them and it was amazing! Wishing lots of success for Michael! Great spot for people who come to town in the early hours.

Excellent bakery and service! We've tried a variety of sweet goods and they are all excellent! Haven't tried the bread but it is often low or out by the time i get there so it must be good. I'm happy to see they expanded in the short time here and love going here with my mom for her favorite, salted caramel brownies. I'm partial to the cowboy cookies and oatmeal cream pies.

One of my coworkers brought me in some cinnamon rolls as a token of appreciation for a job I ran for him earlier this year.
They were each like the size of a softball.
They looked amazing and smelled up the place.
I started splitting them up and sharing and before I knew it, poof they were gone before I could stuff one in my mouth.
Everyone was like OMG, these are UH-mazing.
So, I called up to Michael's Bakeshop in DTW and ordered another half-dozen for the following morning which was a Saturday and three of my kids were coming home, so perfect.
Let me tell you, if you want some bomb-ass cinnamon rolls to go with your morning coffee/tea/energy drink/bourbon whatever, I STRONGLY recommend these fellas.
I mean, you can't doubt a fat guy when it comes to food, right?
I'm right on this.
