My partner and I have been here multiple times over the years and this place has always been great but the past few times we have come here our service has been horrible. The waitress has been openly hostile from the beginning with an attitude of I don’t want to do this and I don’t want to be here. We both work in the service industry so we understand if it’s been a hard day or if it’s busy but it hasn’t been the past few times we’ve been here and it’s been the same server every time. Walking away when we are asking questions and not apologizing for it, saying we are telling her to much when we have talked slowly and clearly and if you aren’t ready to take our order then do not have your note pad and pen out ready to write down what we would like. Especially don’t make condescending remarks about me not wanting to order anything else other than an appetizer because of her attitude and killing what ever vibe there was. We were looking forward to coming here because we haven’t been in a while and this isn’t the first time it’s happened and I wanted to be chill and not say anything but not anymore not when this is the fifth time she has been this way. Her name was Claudia and I normally never do anything like this but when this isn’t the first time this has happened I believe in multiple chances but only so much and I am done giving chances.

Ordered for pickup. #1 Grilled chicken sandwich lettuce, tomato, mayo only (extremely chewy, had cheese, lettuce, no tomato, had onion) #2 requested hamburger no cheese said twice, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mayo only (had cheese, no ketchup) #3 cheese burger, lettuce tomato ketchup, mayo (no ketchup) phone order different from receipt, final results don't match receipt. 🤦♀️ The staff never greeted. Stood at bar waiting flagged waitress to get service. Didn't seem extremely busy even for a browns game day. Extremely dissatisfied!

Used to be one of my favorite places- a relaxed atmosphere, nice patio, good food. But I’ve been there three times over the last year and the food took forever each time. The first time I chalked it up to a temporary staffing situation, the second time I wasn’t sure what to think (that time it took over an hour to get my burger order on a slow lunch day). I gave them one more try recently, when I brought guests there for lunch. They were not crowded and it still took about 40 minutes for our food to come.

Wowwww. I don't know if I just came in on the right day or what!! but this place is GREAT. Good atmosphere, quick service & the staff here is SO KIND. The owner is down to earth & easy to talk to. It was a lovely experience all around. I will be returning & telling everyone I know about Spirits in Willoughby!!
