Wood Room Martini & Wine Bar

The food was amazing and so was the patio. Mac was our server and he was awesome!! The manager came to check on us and Mac was the best! Top notch customer service. He walked us to our car too. The cauliflower crust pizza was delish too. THANKS Mac for making it a great night.

This was our first time at Wood Room . It was absolutely perfect.
The service was exactly what it should be . Extremely sweet, smart and attentive employees. They seem to enjoy their work as well . The food was so yummy and the portions were generous . Most importantly, the cocktails were amazing. Perfectly balanced and delicious. Great selection of savory and sweet options . My friends and I had a blast at this place . A Willoughby Hills gem 💎.

I will start off by saying that my husband and I used to love to come to this place at least once or twice a year to sit out on the beautiful patio and enjoy their fine drinks and food. Yesterday we went there and had to wait for a table on the patio, which is fine, as I understand, they do not take reservations. However, we were told to go inside and have a drink while we wait for a table to open on the patio. We confirmed that if a table is free or become free, would they let us know? Her answer was no because it is first come first served. This makes no logical sense to me – you tell me to go inside and enjoy a drink while I’m waiting for my table, yet you refuse to put my name at least on a waiting list or some way of knowing that we would be next in line. Absolutely no logic in this explanation.

We were so excited to come here, so we thought it was worth waiting for a table to open up. The server lady/bartender came to the front porch where we were waiting and told us a high top table was finally available and walked us over to the actual table to seat us. We were delighted. About three minutes later a lady patron comes up to us and makes a bit of a scene saying that “you took my table while I was in the restaurant and at the bathroom and I just wanted you to know that.” Both my husband and I both apologized several times and said would you like this table and she just said no and walked inside. Meanwhile, the table around us invites her to sit with them because they felt so bad, as if my husband and I were some bruts that took her table. We felt as if we beat a dog or something by the looks we were getting. At this point, I’m not going to spend my hard earned money at a place like this that hires people who can’t think logically and because of the lack of thinking outside the box, a very uncomfortable situation ensued that could have been avoided by normal restaurant etiquette. My husband then went in to find the lady that was sitting there and told her go have her table back that we were not staying – the server that sat us there Just sat there and didn’t say anything. She could have avoided this whole situation by telling the lady that she is the one that told us that it was free but instead, she just stood there. As an employee and “manager “of this business, that is deplorable behavior. I will never again visit this establishment. I’m sure the owner won’t care, as this is a busy place and to lose a little business will mean nothing to them. What I hope will come of this is that they start to think logically and above the age of 15 and train their staff the same.

We enjoy the food and drinks here. The only thing I don’t like is that smoking is allowed on their very nice outdoor patio. This ruins the atmosphere and is exceptionally annoying while dining.

We had a little birthday happy hour on the enclosed patio and it exceed expectations. The area we were given was perfect for our group of 15! The food was all amazing! The drink menu is really cool with lots of fun options, the passion fruit mojito was really refreshing. Alexis was our server and she was a rock star. She put up with my grammy telling her how stunning she was all night. Alexis is model stunning, but that aside, she was an amazing server, super quick, kind and attentive. It was a great experience and my 80 yr old grammy was thrilled! Thank you!!!!

Extremely friendly & attentive staff!

Amazing drinks, delicious food, great service. Highly recommend! Fried pickles are the best I’ve had and the martini menu is huge. We enjoyed th creamsicle and espresso martinis. Wood fired pizza was great. We will return!

Never have I been made to feel more uncomfortable than I was when bringing my elderly parents and partner’s parents to this establishment. We had the unfortunate timing (our first time here, we should have called, I understand that) to come here when half of the restaurant was closed due to a private party which found us stuck in the corner of the bar right underneath the speaker which was playing rather loud music. I appreciate the gent and lady behind the bar who did actually answer our requests to turn the club beats down by lowering the volume so that we could actually enjoy our drinks and not have to yell at our 65+ yr old parents over the music for the whole bar to hear. But it was whoever (my guess was the manager) decided to reject those 2 separate requests and jack the club beats right back up to blaring in our ears and then continue to adjust the volume even louder as if to ensure we didn’t stay that earned this 1 star rating. It was also the awkward glaring at us by all the servers behind the bar after spending 50+ dollars for our drinks that made us so uncomfortable that we felt it better finish them right up to leave to go to a more welcoming bar.

Had a party of 6, had to sit at the bar because half the restaurant was reserved for a private party - no worries there, totally understand and we should’ve called beforehand to make sure they could seat a 6 top.

We were sat in the corner right where there speaker was and the music was so loud you could barely hear each other speak. Since we were there to catch up with each other, not listen to club beats, we asked the gentleman at the bar to turn it down a bit, to which he thankfully did.

However, one of the girls behind the bar kept turning it up every time he’d turn it down. Now, we didn’t even ask to turn it off or down a lot, just a bit. The fact they kept turning it back up and glaring at us from across the bar was disrespectful and disappointing and we will not be returning back here.

This place is amazing! I had their gluten free pizza and salad with their homemade Italian. Upscale vibe is A++ and food is fantastic. Service was on point. Will be visiting again!
