Delis near Wooster

“I come to the deli all the time and when Sherrie is there, it's always a really good experience. She is the nicest, most professional employee. She's always smiley and she lays the slices of cheese all neat and lined up so it doesn't get bent and broken. I hope she gets a raise cuz she's awesome“

“Sidewalk construction outside, so you have to navigate the yellow tape to get inside.

First, the positives. The atmosphere is great. The interior is spacious and decorated nicely and gives you an inviting feel. There is a bar area and deli area.

Now the negatives. You get the same service as you would at fast food joint. There is no one to welcome you. You go to the counter and order your food. We had to flag someone down to order. Our names were called about 15 minutes later. You then go back to the counter to pick up your order. You fill your own fountain drinks. They also request you bus your own table after eating. For $20 for a sandwich, chips, and a soft drink, I was expecting maybe a little more.

Food was hit and miss. I had the Hot Italian Grinder while my wife ordered the Weird Science. My sandwich was good. Italian meats and topped with banana pepper cheese. It was served hot. My wife, on the other hand, received a sandwich that was overly toasted. (Must have been Cajun style because the whole backside was burnt and blackened). I also would have liked to sit at the bar and have had a draft beer, but there was no bartender working the area this visit. They have about a half dozen beers on tap.

Parking: Street parking, but all spots were full. We had to park a block away.“
