Well that was a huge disappointment. Took my daughter at noon on a Saturday to get some smoothies after her basketball game and figured it would nice to try the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Walked in to the location and there was quite a few people in there waiting. Not one person was eating. Four people working behind the counter. We looked over the menu, decided what we wanted and approached the register... nothing. No greetings, no "we'll" be right with you. So, we waited and I watched. They brought out four separate orders to people... where one portion was always returned as being incorrect. Four, in the span of 10 minutes. I could see there order screen and knew they were busy but the lack of any communications and the amount of food being returned for being incorrect prompted us to leave. We spent 20 minutes in a place without being greeted and was never able to place an order. By the way, there was no one waiting in front of us to order. It was disappointing and I'm not planning on going back. We ended up at another smoothie place and they weren't the friendliest but at least they acknowledged us being there and the orders came out accurately.

Large menu with a variety of sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas and smoothies. They are frequently running specials (discounted smoothies with food purchase. The ambiance is bright and cheery. I've tried a few items, but tonight I had the new chicken chorizo quesadilla and the detox smoothie. It was very satisfying. The quesadilla came with a smoky salsa, which was nice. The detox smoothie tastes nice and is refreshing.

Visiting my wife’s relatives in Oakton I was looking for a Tropical Smoothies and found one close by in a shopping center anchored by a Giants and CVS. The only customer for about 3 minutes, it was pretty desolate inside since there is no seating and a cold day. Sole employee took my order with chips and got it back pretty quickly and it was correct. A great visit and I hope their business improves.
