Calypso Grill and Smokehouse

Everything was so AMAZING.. Delicious chicken, and jerk sauce was out of this world! Also loved the maduros, and our waiter was super nice. I was more than satisfied with my first visit and will definitely be back.

Edit (3 years later):
It's not as good as it used to be. The kitchen, dining rooms, and bathrooms were dirty and needed repairs. Seems like the owner doesn't care about the building very much. Service was great and food was very good, but the building itself is going downhill..

Love this place. I have run the menu with no complaints on flavors. They have a full bar with craft beers, local coffee, and on-site sodas. Friendly wait staff is knowledgeable about menu offerings. There have been some menu changes. Still have the best key lime pie.

Amazing food. Legit as it gets.

Our party of six had an incredible experience at Calypso Grill and Smokehouse! We kicked things off with the fried plantains for an appetizer, and it set the tone for a fantastic meal. The feedback on all our dishes was off the charts! The Smokehouse Sampler was a hit, the Calypso Lunch Bowls were bursting with flavor, the Jerk Wing Meal was perfectly spiced, and the Calypso Red Snapper Sandwich was simply delicious. Everyone loved their food, and we can't recommend this place enough. Can't wait to come back!

Didn't care for the food. The waitress tried to be very accommodating, though. Maybe the jerk chicken and pork/mac n cheese isn't the best thing they sell.

We recommend the Mac and cheese(with veggies/spice in it), the fries and the empanadas in that order. We don’t recommend the corn fritters. They’re very bland compared to the rest of the food. We also got a pitcher of Painkiller and I was tipsy after one drink. The pitcher doesn’t look like much and it’s only enough for two drinks but it was still really strong.

Perhaps an off night following the closure announcement. Jerk chicken was always really good in the past but looked and tasted different and not in a good way. It was kind of tough and hard to cut and not as flavorful. Presentation of both meals was poor. In the recent past dishes had looked very appetizing, these did not.

Our first time here; what a hidden gem. Absolutely blown away by the quality food and friendly service. Everything tasted like homemade. If you want something different and you want to support local business, please visit this restaurant immediately and often!! Amazing options for Gluten Free (thank you)!!! Yuca fries and arepas with guacamole appetizer were delicious, and that was just the start! We cannot wait to go back!!

So disappointment that they no longer have the barbados chicken. That was the only reason for my visit. I did get the Jerk chicken in its place, but it is not near as good. You should really consider bringing it back.
