“Salato Deli is a gem of Springfield! I was visiting from out of state and needed a quick bite for lunch. Walking in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The menu was full of unique combos with fresh ingredients. The bakery was very impressive too!The lady who took my order was incredibly helpful and friendly. When I went back to fill my fountain drink, it was awesome to see the kitchen assembling my order. My sandwich was finished within minutes of paying and I couldn't be happier.To top it all off, I realized I made a mistake with my order and the staff were more than willing to help me. “First time in 12 years I'm back home and getting the basics while waiting for the moving van. Cant sleep with the time change and I know what I need and Meijers is open at 6am Sunday. Upon arrival I am immediately asnd cheerfully greeted by a passing employee. Got what I needed and while waiting in line a checker offers to open another lane. Everyone had masks on at this early hour which was more than appreciated. Thanks for the great customer service and for b er ring there for me. Bravo!“
“This is without a doubt the nicest Kroger location I've ever visited. The store is huge and generally very clean. The floors are always polished and shining, the produce department is usually well-stocked with quality produce, and the deli appears to be clean and sanitary with a nice selection of meats and cheeses to choose from. During my visit on Nov. 9, I waited at the deli counter for almost 30 minutes before it was my turn to place an order. It was approximately 2pm and only one employee was working in the deli. At first, I was very annoyed by how long I had to wait, but by the time it was my turn, I felt sorry for the deli worker. She was doing the best she could by herself and kept her cool with numerous customers waiting to be helped. Usually deli customers must take a number and wait for their turn, but the number dispenser has been missing for more than a month. It's not easy to keep track of who was waiting ahead of me and who arrived after me. The deli worker apologized for the wait and was sweet and professional. I've heard that they simply cannot get people to work, so she is stuck trying to cover the entire department herself. There are certain areas of the store that are roomy and easy to navigate while other areas of the store have numerous large displays in the middle of the aisles making it a complete cluster! The customers tend to be rude and have a sense of entitlement, so they block the aisles, take their good old time, cut in front of people, and don't respect the personal space of others. Society today... My biggest complain about Kroger is their weekly featured saving items that require the customer to select digital coupons in order to get the sale price. I successfully select the coupons and meet all of the requirements in small print, but I always get cheated. I hear this from many people. It is difficult for the elderly as well especially if they do not use a smart phone.“
“Y'all need to go to Mike and Rosy's!! They are OPEN once again, under new owners. Pictured is the pepperoni sub, and it was delicious. We bought a pepperoni sub, roast beef sub, and a ham and turkey sub, all 8 inches and we paid 32.62. This is comparable to when we get Our Hero. Their prices are much more affordable now. This will be our first trip of many to come!! Thank you Mike & Rosy's Deli, it was delicious.“
“This place is just wonderful!I'm a vegetarian, and I'm also in school to become a dietitian, so I am always looking for nutritious grab-and-go options. My lunch was tasty, and, if I remember correctly, cost less than $8. They had plenty of choices and many dessert options, too. I went back and bought a brownie, and boy, was it good!“
