I thought I had found my new favorite dish.. The curry chicken, however the last two times I’ve ordered it, they have changed up what vegetables they are using. Started with bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, onion carrots snap peas and baby corn.Now it was full of onion, green peppers,zucchini, squash carrots and mushrooms. I hate mushrooms and thank goodness it was my dinner as my boyfriend is allergic to them. The curry sauce doesn’t even taste the same.

Since the new ownership the quality of food seems to have taken a bad turn. The taste was horrible and the chicken was as much gristle as meat. Rice terribly undercooked. I don’t think I will ever eat here again. Good luck for all of you who do.

Food quality, taste and overall experience has plummeted recently. I don't know what happened but the General Tso's was downright nasty and it seemed much more expensive than I remember. I could not finish my meal as it tasted like something toxic rather than appetizing. Not sure what happened but I was disappointed for my dinner tonight.

As a fan of the classic original bubble milk tea, I couldn't be happier with this delightful addition. The flavor is spot-on, and the tapioca pearls are perfectly chewy – a true treat for my taste buds!My kids and I have found our new favorite spot for bubble milk tea, and we can't get enough of King Garden's fantastic offerings. The combination of excellent service, convenient online ordering, and the delicious bubble milk tea has earned King Garden a well-deserved 5-star rating in my book. Keep up the great work!
We haven’t ordered from the restaurant in a couple months but I have heard they changed owners. The food is not the same. The service is not the same. The price went up and you get half the portions. We ordered general tso and personally there was no sauce. The rice was dry. The meat was dry and it didn’t taste very well Through all of it away $20 for two smalls portions what a waste and I will never go back

King Garden is a Zanesville staple. I will always love it because I grew up with it. In typical small-town fashion, people are talking about an ownership change and a change in the food, so I knew I had to try it for myself. Sadly, I have noticed a change. I have tried it twice in the last week, once with white rice and once with fried rice, both times General Tso’s. What I have encountered is a change in both rices as well as the chicken. The rice is noticeably saltier and less tender and sticky. The chicken, which used to be doused in sauce yet still somehow crunchy and crispy, has changed to something that resembles Sam’s Club frozen chicken that was heated in an oven before being tossed in sauce. It is grittier, drier, and nowhere near the same crispiness that I grew up loving.Overall, the food quality in both of these visits was the same, but disappointing. I am leaving what I feel is a realistic review for a couple reasons: change can be difficult to navigate and perhaps we will see the quality return AND while it wasn’t what I am used to and in my opinion objectively worse, it wasn’t awful.I will continue to support King Garden and try it from time to time just to check, but I fear that if the change I’ve noticed is permanent, Zanesville lost a staple.
