Ah, the Old Market Inn—where culinary aspirations meet a reality check. Dining there felt like attending a black-tie gala, only to discover it’s a potluck with lukewarm casseroles.
Service: The waitstaff moved with the urgency of a snail on vacation. By the time our food arrived, we were contemplating ordering breakfast.
Ambiance: The decor screamed “fine dining,” but the experience whispered “fast food.” It was like expecting a symphony and getting a kazoo solo.
Food: Served cold, the dishes had the portion sizes of a toddler’s snack. The only thing smaller than the servings was the flavor.
Drinks: The beer selection was as exclusive as a speakeasy—if the password was “only cans.” Craft beer enthusiasts, prepare to be underwhelmed.
In summary, the Old Market Inn is the place to go if you’re into high prices, slow service, and meals that leave you hungry. It’s the culinary equivalent of a mirage—looks promising from afar but disappoints up close.

The atmosphere is amazing! Service was good. Drinks were pretty good. Food was the only thing that could be a touch improved, and it would be a 5 easily. Little bland for what I expected flavor wise.

If you are a single traveler and find yourself in the small town of Zanesville Ohio and you want to first class meal consider the Old Market House Inn. I had the filet mignon with South African cold water lobster tails and both were delicious. You can cut the filet with your fork, seriously, I tried it.
Ronnie and Montana will treat you right. Lone Travelers should consider eating at the Old Market House Inn restaurant in Zanesville, Ohio and the locals should put it on their favorites list. Oh yeah, try the mud pie for desert.

This restaurant was quite a find. We had been on a road trip and decided to stop in Zanesville for dinner. An Italian restaurant with an English pub style restaurant is interesting...and it works. Our waiter was great, the food wonderful and the negroni, perfect. When we are back in town we will definitely visit again!
