I had the nachos. Wasn't what I expected. It was half portion and it was just overly sized chips with choice of meat and etc. Half portion came with 6. Its not like regular nachos theirs are different. It was still yummy though.

Excellent place for date night! My Wife and I are over the road truck driver's and were making a delivery close by and decided to have a date night here and we absolutely loved it! Excellent service and the atmosphere was great. 10 Stars for this place 😀.

I ordered the taco salad with beef. This is the shell. They didn't drain the meat. I had taken the meat and lettuce off and put it on the chips and took it home. It was good it would have been better with out the liquid.

I used to grab drinks with my friends here and the carnitas tacos never disappointed me. We would also inhale their chips and salsa. I still crave this place and havent found anywhere in my new town that feeds my cravings yet

Plaza Mexican Restaurant in Altus presents itself as a promising destination for Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine, but my recent visit left much to be desired. Service was attentive and efficient, with staff maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor throughout the meal. The atmosphere was unremarkable but comfortable—a typical casual dining environment, neither particularly charming nor off-putting.
Unfortunately, the food failed to meet even modest expectations. The presentation was lackluster, and the flavors were disappointingly flat. The queso was particularly unpleasant, lacking both depth and freshness, while the chips were noticeably stale, robbing the classic chips-and-dip experience of any enjoyment. Across the menu, dishes lacked the vibrant, robust flavors that define both authentic Mexican and Tex-Mex fare. The chili sauce on the enchilada was especially egregious, tasting overwhelmingly of chili powder rather than a balanced, savory blend—rendering the dish nearly inedible.
Despite the restaurant’s positive online ratings and enthusiastic local reviews, my experience was a significant disappointment. The food simply did not reach the standard of even an average Tex-Mex establishment. I cannot recommend Plaza Mexican Restaurant to those seeking quality Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine in Altus; there are certainly better options in the area for those craving authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. Given the underwhelming meal, I would not return.

I seriously can’t remember how long it’s been since having such a fantastic experience at a different restaurant. Greeting staff was wonderful,waitress was constantly checking if we needed anything,and the food was delicious beyond expectations. Definitely coming back again!
