Ye Olde Donut Shoppe has always had a reputation for great donuts & pastries.When I come home with donuts my family checks the bag & if they are from Happy Donuts they turn their noses up & refuse to eat them. I only do this when i'm short of cash & need to use a credit card. I love every thing they make.
The building is a little austere, and everything looks like it could use a good cleaning. There was just one employee and they don't take credit cards. I know a lot of locals who swear by this place, so I decided to try it. I went around 11 a.m. so the place was pretty empty and most of the donuts were picked over. I got a dozen plain glazed and ohhh gosh they were good. Real yeast donuts made fresh every morning....soooo tasty. It's no Krispy Kreme but very satisfying, at good...read full review

The glazed donuts are excellent here. Small inside but I always use the drive through. I do wish they took credit cards though as I don't always have cash on me but since their glazed donuts are so good I try to keep a few dollars in my glove box when I feel like stopping by. They open early and that's when the glaze donuts are the best of course. Very nice owners that run the business and I'm always happy to support places like that.
