Love the food! It is always more than we can eat. Efficient and friendly staff. Restaurant and bathrooms clean. Great view of lake. We love dinning at Foggy Bottom. The free apple fritters they bring out first are sooo good!
Nice restaurant right on the lake. Service was great. Most of the food was good, okra was over cooked though.
Botched my breakfast …..but they did make it over properly Biscuits and gravy in a bowl ???? Ummm not a good choice for me. Probably just a bad day.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Food was great. Would definitely eat there again. Zucchini Chips were yummy. Hobo dinner was great too.
This restaurant is very clean and the service is fantastic. The food is fresh and delicious. They are open all day on New years which is convenient for us as we are staying at the cabins at the State Park. The view is amazing of Lake Murray.
It’s great and super service very nice
Really good food. good variety of options to eat. Nice atmosphere with great view of the lake. Cute gift shop. Good friendly service. Clean and fresh. Outdoor patio deck to eat out on.
This was a wonderful surprise, the location was beautiful, the decor was great and the staff was amazing. I had the zucchini chips that came with ranch and honey mustard. For the entree I had the chicken fried steak by mashed potatoes and jalapeño corn. It was all so delicious and tasty. I can’t wait to go back to this place again.
This is a really good restaurant on the water! The atmosphere at this location was phenomenal as well as the view! Everyone was super friendly and kind!
Great place to sit outside and enjoy beautiful views of Lake Murray while enjoying some great food. I had the Winchester Burger which was a hand formed half pound angus beef patty served with white cheddar and apple bacon jam and arugula with Worcestershire sauce on a brioche bun. It was absolutely delicious. I chose their homemade kettle chips as my side which complimented the burger quite well. While we were waiting on our food we were served two complimentary hot apple fritters dusted with powdered sugar, what a nice delightful touch. I could have eaten four or five of those! This place is a must try if you’re ever in the area!

Found while going around a road closure. Realized the detour would take us by the old Lake Murry Lodge (where this restaurant is located). Had not been there in decades and went in for old times sake. It is only three or four miles straight east of I-35 if coming from the south. If you don't want to backtrack you can take the old highway through the park, get passing views of the lake, and pick I-35 back up on the other side of Ardmore. Have stopped by three or four times since, The setting is literally right by the water. I suppose it is a short menu and a bit formulaic, but we found the food to be really good.
good food good customer service
Awesome food and Awesome service
Everything was fine, but one staff member named Alyssa, I believe that was her name, she wasn't pleasant at all. Probably need more training. This was some time ago, just now getting around to post.
Great place to have a meal. Nice staff and great food. Go try it worth your drive
