“I did not really get a BBQ vibe from Swadley's. It felt more commercialized than a good BBQ spot. I ordered the Oklahoma Sampler with grewn beans and deviled egg potato salad. The food got the table quick, which, unfortunately, felt as maybe it was only sitting in a warmer or under a heat lamp. It was not very hot, yet not cold, so warm is the best description I can give. All the meats on the sampler were good, just needed to be a tad warmer. The Peach Cobbler was nice and hot (the hottest item in my order) with melted ice cream on top. I am not a big peach cobbler type of person, but it hit the spot after the platter I ate. May be worth yoir dip in to check it all out.”

“My brother and I were looking for a good dessert 🍨 place. We searched on Google and found Jimmy Js. My brother ordered a vanilla shake and I ordered a Banana pudding Arctic freeze. It was awesome! Mine had bits of banana and vanilla wafers and I would definitely order it again. Next time we will try their burgers 🍔. “We ordered take out sliced brisket sandwiches today from the Ardmore location. Three sandwiches and 3 fries for $39.25! It was the most horrible meat we have ever gotten from there!! It was cut very thick and so tough we could hardly cut it with a knife much less chew it.!! Not to mention the large amount of fat!! All went in the trash!! Too many other bbq places in town ! Will spend our money elsewhere!!”

He kept our tea glasses full and checked on us often. Our meal was excellent. Cooked to perfection. We had steak tips, fried shrimp, chicken fry, a steak and chicken strips all were so good. “Well I am elderly and I wanted good chicken I could have gone to KFC but I pick y'all because I wanted rice and beans went threw drive in window and placed my order I drove 30 miles round trip but got 2 sides of Mac and cheese and no rice and beans the main thing I wanted I spent $33.00 dollars for my family pack and the sides that I got would not have feed 3 people lots of chicken so I am really in happy with your chicken place and my main problems is it just seems like every time I go there they mess something up I do not recommend them anymore and I truly started being a customer of theirs back in the 70s in corpus Christi Texas my children and I would get chicken at least once a week I am done with bad service and the order never being right”

“Stopped by Taqueria La Herradura today (07 Jan 2026) and it absolutely hit the spot.

Ordered tacos, a torta, and elote—and even after finishing the tacos and elote, I’m stuffed. Saving the torta for later because it’s huge.
The tacos were Pastor, Lengua, and Birria—all solid street-style tacos on double corn tortillas. The Pastor and Lengua were my favorites: well seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor. At $2.25 each, the value is excellent.

The torta is loaded with lengua and massive. The bread looks bakery-made or freshly baked, not store-bought, which really sets it apart.

The surprise star was the elote. For $4.50, you get enough to share with 2–3 people. Perfect balance of corn, cotija, mayo, and roja salsa—so good I’ll be ordering two next time.

Sauces deserve a shout-out too:
Verde has a legit kick of heat without being uncomfortable
Roja has a subtle smoky note that’s perfect if you like mild spice with depth

Cash only, so grab some dinero—but you won’t need much to get full. Order it to go (don’t skip the elote) and enjoy. I’ll definitely be back.

Cash-only taco trucks are extremely common, especially in real food-truck cities. Cash keeps prices lower, service faster, and avoids passing card fees onto customers. As for seating and wash stations—this is a taco truck, not a sit-down restaurant. Order to go, enjoy a park, or head home. Simple as that.
