We stopped in Ardmore to break up a trip to Austin. Cafe Alley seemed like an interesting option so we gave it a try. It was phenomenal. Food was great and reasonably priced but the service was even better than the food. And as there was a short wait, the Do Drop (a sister business) was suggested. Again the service was above great and the drinks were marvelous. The whole experience was good enough to make Ardmore a future destination.

Highly recommend this restaurant! Excellent food and fabulous service! Rivals any big city restaurant! We enjoyed crab cakes and salmon. Yum!

It was a really good place to take small Children. Very busy on a Saturday night. Food was good, service was great. So far, our favorite place in Ardmore.

We were not prepared for the SIZE of these sandwiches!! Thankfully we had a fridge to store these in for a late night snack. Very tasty vegetarian options and very kind staff.

Came here at a family member's recommendation (from 10 years ago). Our Sandwich maker did not wear gloves or a mask, and I saw another sandwich maker handle cash between making sandwiches. My sandwich guy talked me into picking a different cheese (made it sound like an option), then charged me extra for it. If you want a LOT of just mediocre tasting food, go for it. We could have ordered one sandwich and split it between two adults. $30 later, I am pretty certain we are going to throw away the other half of each of our sandwiches... I really hope we don't throw up from the poor hygiene from the workers here. This place is a quantity and not a quality situation. I do not recommend it.

Pretty sure I got food poisoning from here.. extremely BAD. Will never go here again. Go to the co-op instead for sandwiches it's not worth a trip to the emergency room

Great muffuletta sandwich, easily shared by two people. They had many other sandwich choices, and good vegetarian options too. Seemed to be a popular place. Good outdoor seating picnic tables.

Bit hefty on the pricing but the portion makes up for it. Expect to wait a while as in they take a while to assemble the sandwich. Overall like the options they offer and its a pretty great place to go for lunch.

This place has great sandwiches. I was a fan of the bread but their variety of toppings and sauces was excellent. They also have a great variety of drink to purchase. It seemed pretty consistent with customers and everyone was ordering something different. I was a bit sad when they said they didn't carry sprouts as that is my favorite sandwich topping! Their outside seating area is nice and the staff was super friendly.

Long nails with no gloves, nor hair nets/cap when making my sammy. They wore a mask for covid, but no gloves for general bacteria. wiped hand on a damp towel that was probably sitting there for hours on the counter. Disgusting. Also $25 for two small sammies. not worth it to go back. Used to be a good place.

Just came in here today for a sandwich and immediately noticed not a single person making the sandwiches was wearing gloves. That's really gross people. Really bummed cause I actually enjoy this place. I also saw in other reviews that this is a reoccurring issue. Definetly won't be coming back.

I love salmon and I’ve had it at many restaurants across the country but this smoked and grilled salmon is my favorite of anywhere I’ve been!

Upon recommendation from locals and from the various on-line sources, I decided to try this place for a special occasion meal. We arrived at mid day on a Wednesday. The place was packed…and the wait was about 15 minutes. The menu had a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, casual entree’s and more upscale entree’s. There was a wide selection of steaks and seafood on the grill, too. Since it was a special occasion, we opted for the steaks. They come with the choice of two sides. I chose a side salad and waffle sweet potato fries. My guest chose mashed potatoes and Mac-n-cheese. The salad was good, fresh, and crisp. The potatoes and Mac-n-cheese were hot and tasty. However, the main event, the steak was poor. My guest’s filet was mainly well-done (ordered medium to medium well), and very tough. My sirloin was cooked to the correct temp, but was basically flavorless. The menu advertised a specially seasoned cut, but they must have forgot any seasoning at all. We finished off with a slice of Italian Cream cake, very good. Bottom line, don’t get the steaks…terrible for the price. Sides and desserts were good. Service was friendly. To be fair, they did offer to cook another filet, but we had waited a while and needed to be on our way with no time to wait on another entree. Way too expensive, $90, for just an ok couple of entree’s and one slice of cake (no drinks).

My husband, son and I really enjoyed everything we ordered! I would especially recommend a sandwich with the option of amazing sweet potato waffle fries with their marshmallow cinnamon dipping sauce, it’s incredible! The portion is very generous, so even if only one person gets them, there is enough to share with others. We also split a piece of carrot cake, which was served warm and gooey and very delicious. I would definitely visit here again when in the area.

I have been recommending Cafe Ally to my guests for years. They have never let me down. Always great experience for my guests. It's the hidden gem.
