Thanks to all of the reviews, we decided to try Sam's, and it was so good! Red beans and rice, fish, and shrimps were great. The potato salad was just ok. Will go again when we're in the area.

Tonight was our first experience at Sam’s and we loved it. It’s definitely a don’t judge a book by its cover kind of place. My husband got the double southern burger and I got the shrimp po boy and both were cooked well and tasted great. The veggies were fresh. The fries were seasoned well.The man serving us was kind and fast.We’ll be back.

Great catfish!!!! That was then. The now is a little different. The fish looked more like fish sticks, the red beans and rice was more like rice with a hint of red beans. The coleslaw was dry. So when I went back I tried the cheesteak sandwhich. What a waste of money that was. They once were great but have just went down hill like so many places in this area.

Bobby was such a wonderful server/cashier! So helpful and kind, and a wonderful person to chat with. Loved my shrimp so much I took it home, the catfish was beyond tasty, the red beans and rice was superb, the hush puppies were fantastic, and the potato salad was delicious. Definitely my new go to spot for fish and shrimp! Definitely coming back soon!

Seems they have changed recipes since my last visit. Not in a good way. Ordered fried green tomatoes for an appetizer. They were a soggy, greasy mess and not green but red. The catfish was very crunch no flavor except freezer taste. The service was very good. Unfortunately I am now looking for a new seafood place.

We were in town at a family reunion that had no real food options for our pescatarian daughter. It was 8:30 at night and it seemed most restaurants were closing so I randomly chose this place as it was only 7 minutes from the convention center. The front desk guy was already mopping but the cooks graciously said they could cook one more shrimp poboy for me. My daughter raved that it was the best she'd ever eaten - veggies were fresh and it had a lot of tartar sauce. As this was going to be the second meal she wouldve had to miss due to limited food options in town, she was very grateful.
You want some Cajun food in Oklahoma there's a place to stop and get you some catfish was cooked to perfection been to Louisiana many times and had some gumbo from the way Backwoods and theirs was every bit as nice friendly staff Quick Service and budget-friendly price I'll be back every chance I get
