Love this place! Just went and stocked up on salt water taffy. They have so many flavors to choose from. Try the buttered popcorn, it’s my new favorite flavor! The owners were fantastic. They were friendly and very helpful. We also tried the happy camper and dirty Diana dirty sodas. Sooooo yummy. The happy camper is like all the flavors of campfire roasting a marshmallow. There’s parking right out front. The decor is cute, rustic and vintage. Can’t wait to go back and try more flavors of dirty sodas. Everyone go check it out!

Cute little store. The owner told me he has the truffles shipped from Vermont. He also owns the soda fountain across the street. I picked up a bag of mixed candy, salt water Taffy, and one mint truffle.

What a sweet little treat in Atoka. Mix and match candy by the pound. Lots of old goodies to choose from. Ask Becky anything about the area, she’s got some great stories. Grateful for this local treasure.

As my 15-year-old son so aptly put it,

If you find yourself driving through Atoka, OKLA please stop in and say hello to Sunny Richards AKA PaPa. Owner of the Buffalo Nickel, an old fashion candy store. We purchased some goodies too. Sunny shared lots of history of this town, and a few of the famous people. His store is located right next door to Reba’s restaurant. He told us about a local young lady who was on The Voice, Jordan Rainer, who actually sang one of Reba’s songs the first season Reba was a judge. No Pressure … Then PaPa told us that Jordan’s mom , Robin, was working the old fashion Soda shop across the street and to go have a look at an original Cocoa Cola sign in said shop. We did. Sunny was so much fun to chat with. Stop by and say hello. ??

The owners were so nice and the candy is delicious. There are a lot of sugar free options and so many flavors of salt water taffy we filled a whole bucket to take home with us!

After eating down the block we noticed the candy store three doors down. Walking in you are assailed by a wall of candy if all sorts. But there was hope as there was a sugar free section.
We chatted with the owner about various countries before hitting the road once more.

WONDERFUL people & a great place! I’m so glad we stopped after Reba’s. We live in NE OK (Miami) and was in the area to eat Rebas place on our way back from TX. They were very friendly to us and our kiddos, even offered a HERO discount due to my husband being a Fire Chief. Candies were amazing. We will be back!
