I placed an order on the app and when I showed up to pick it up, the people were friendly. My food was ready and it was nice hot and tasty. We got the ham for Thanksgiving and it was so so good. Since we’ve gotten the chopped brisket and pulled pork and it never disappoints.

I’ve been eating at Swaldys for years, back when the prices were lower and everything actually felt like Swaldys. Now every time I come in, corporate is always there, and when they are, it feels like they’re pressing the workers and making the whole place uncomfortable. On top of that, they’re talking about moving my favorite manager, Lucky. He was the nicest manager there and always helped out when the restaurant got busy.
The fact that they’re moving him to catering because one customer didn’t get what she wanted feels childish and unfair. Since all these changes, the vibe is off, prices are higher, and it doesn’t feel like the same place I’ve supported for years. Corporate is ruining what made this place special.
