Blue Plate Cafe has a home cooked breakfast in an immaculate restaurant. The staff are warmly attentive and efficient, and guests are seated immediately. The menu has a good variety of typical diner dishes. Good meals include chicken and waffles with a berry compote dip, hashbrowns, chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, cream gravy and green beans, and a respectable side salad. The food arrives quickly, piping hot and flavorful. The chicken is not dry, the waffles are crisp on the outside and tender inside, and the hashbrowns are crispy on the outside and steamy soft inside. The gravy is plentiful and the potatoes are scratch made. Prices are reasonable and the service is great, with a pleasant server who checks on guests the right amount of times. The atmosphere is clean, neat and cheery, a typical diner without being a greasy spoon. Guests found it a new breakfast cafe and will go back.
