Friendly little place, totally home style. Menu plus daily lunch buffet. They always have fried chicken, basic salad fixings, enchiladas, homemade tortillas, a fresh soup and of course rice and beans for about $10.
Been here several times and have never been disappointed. The "salsa" is unlike any I have ever had before. Best I can describe it is as a soup or stew with tomatoes, onions and peppers. It appears to have been slightly thickened with corn starch or something similar. Great flavor but just a tad runny for my liking and not enough veggie chunks in it. Perfect lunch stop on the way home from Yosemite. The service was friendly, the food delicious (the fired chicken really lived up to the hype), and the place pretty much spotless. We'll definitely be back.
