“My grandmother, who is now 87, grew up in Calumet. She remembers eating here growing up. This place has been around under various owners since 1930. Today we took my grandmother to Cobb Creek for breakfast. She says the decor inside has changed a lot over the years, but the good food and excellent service haven’t. Overall, we were very impressed with the place. It’s nothing fancy, just a small town diner. But the food is good, the portions are very generous and the service is great. The biscuits are homemade and quite large, the pancakes are plate-sized and very fluffy, the eggs are fresh and the sausage has great flavor. We will definitely be back.”

“Picked up food to go. Sweet and sour pork and lo mein and some fried rice. A storm was coming and took the food to my sister's where she has a storm shelter. She made egg rolls and we brought the rest. Filled our belly and the storm passed us.”

The cinnamon rolls are the heavy dough with yeast kind that smells heavenly. Just 30 seconds in the microwave and what a treat. The cafe sells the cinnamon rolls at the register at a very reasonable price or separately as a breakfast item.”
