What a nice experience this place is. I live in Alva and drive the 20 miles to eat there. Fantastic food, service, plentiful, prices are just fine and it is very clean.

The food and service was amazing, but it cost us $48 for 2 people to eat. We each ordered a cheeseburger, bacon cheese fries, ranch, and a medium drink. They charged us for each item individually instead of doing a meal and doing an up charge for cheese and bacon on the fries. Then on one of the fries they charged us for fries add bacon and cheese, which caused them to cost over a $1 more than if they just charged us for bacon cheese fries. Just be aware if you eat here that it’s going to be charged to you individually and cost a lot. I would also suggest more rock for the parking lot, as you had to dodge massive holes just to get to a parking spot.

Fresh and homemade!! Order at the counter. I had a Toastada and it was more than filling! The French fries were hand cut. Burger looked good too.

What a wonderful place. Clean, super friendly, and excellent food. The owner said he keeps a small menu (which wasn't that small) to keep the quality high. Good ingredients - including meat - are well cooked only after you order. Had a patty melt on dark rye that was so big I could only eat half of it. My husband got coached to eat his excellent tostado on a HOUSE MADE tortilla without a fork and knife. Even the french fries were cut from real potatoes. On the road between Indianapolis, IN, and Enid, OK, this was the only meal worth eating. Cherokee got lucky with this place!

My wife and I were passing through Cherokee, OK and Cavali had good reviews so we decided to try it instead of fast food. I had a spicy BBQ burger and she had a grilled chicken quesadilla. They were both delicious! The people there were super friendly. We were taking it to go and they made sure we had everything we needed before we left. If we lived here we would eat here all the time.

This was a 'Wow' small town America burger experience. Had high expectations after being told to go out of the way to find Cavali in Cherokee for their great burgers. We did just that and it was a very good decision. Our burgers were flavourful, loaded with fresh toppings and tasted just great, the way I remember burgers always tasting 30-40 years ago. Home made burgers in small town America is a dying food heritage that I just love about making road trips in the States. This was a great lunch experience and easy recommendation for anyone travelling around Alva or the Salt Plains. Well worth making a visit to Cavali for their burgers.

Cavali is a local cafe on S. Grand Ave. in Cherokee that grills up fresh and delicious burgers, the way they used to be made 30-40 years ago. They have a fair sized indoor seating area, opening hours are 10.30am to 9pm (weekdays) and 10.30am to 3pm (weekends). It is all straight-forward. Pick up a menu, have a seat at one of the tables and when you're ready, pop over to the counter and tell the charming young lady what you'd like. They have a few other items on the menu but we were told to find this place and try their burgers and boy were they good. We did the original 1/4 pound with grilled onions and cheese, you choose other toppings and the special 1/2 Spicy BBQ burger with mushroom and house spicy BBQ sauce. The patties was grilled medium, exuded natural grass-fed beef flavours, toppings fresh, held perfectly with a soft but sturdy bun. Oh my, these were good burgers, we were so glad to drive a bit out of the way to find this restaurant and may just have to so again next time we cross northwest Oklahoma. This is what eating in small town America is all about, a food heritage experience that is slowly dying but one of the things I love most about road trip travel around the States. Cavali Restaurant in Cherokee is the Real Deal, if you are road trip food lover in the area, find them.

This place should be on the show “Diners, drive-ins, and dives”. They have amazing burgers and fries, and hardy quesadillas with authentic green and red salsa. When they say spicy they mean it with the red salsa. Everything is so fresh and quick. Anna is a great hostess and can do the job of two people. It’s a laid back atmosphere and they take pride in the quality of food they serve. I recommend all my friends to stop in and try Cavali’s Restaurant!
