The signs claim the food is "fresh & delicious"; I dined in (no buffet) and it was as advertised. Golden Chef has the cheapest prices in Claremore for Chinese cuisine, you can get 3 entrees for the price of 2 at Panda or New Star. Downsides include the awkward location for all but Owasso commuters and Rogers State students, the old building and limited parking. The decorations are tacky, but I find it charming. They're a mix of trinkets from Asian supermarkets...

Normally I would brag but this last time I went wasn't the greatest my order was screwed up the food felt like it came out of the microwave. Like I love this restaurant I've been going for it for years and I actually brag on it but this last time was just awful.

Ordered from here for takeout & my family was rather disappointed in the food, we got several different items but I will explain what I tried & what my personal feeling on it was… I ordered the curry shrimp & honestly I enjoyed it! It tasted very good but felt a little too “chickeny” for me. The spice was perfect but the sauce kind of tasted like a spicy version of chicken ramen (it was a bit strong)… however I will say that it tasted AMAZING with my rice!...
